Why do People Believe that Lee is Broken?

Lee Sin is a strong early game champion who falls off late. His winrate, which is just below 50%, rises the more he's played. His playerbase has an average of 79 games on him in ranked. I still don't understand how this makes him op. I've just seen countless threads calling for nerfs when he's fine. If he averaged the same winrate with 5 games played, or went up to a 60% winrate with 79 games, or maintained a positive winrate late game I would understand, but he doesn't.

because one combo puts you out of commision early game. also he doesnt fall off as hard as people think a good bruiser lee can be a threat. Yes he can be a threat .tell that to the thresh who got kicked into me and i got bursted for 900dmg as i was about to kill enemy Trist and Pop off(as draven)its not even thresh's fault he just bodyblocked Tali Q for me like a good man. Also he has too much mobility and this is coming from an ex riven main like lol i used to play one of the most mobile champs and still think lee is stupid in terms of mobility...

Because if he snowballs hard enuf and his team aint retarded, he's oppressive in all senses of the word. Excuse mi linguo, in heaven eating a delicious deli sammich.

Because they have no map awareness and don't know how to react when LeeSin comes to gank them, LeeSin takes skill and time to master and he should be strong.

Because he is.

Because this forum is an echo chamber and we're still hearing the screams of "nerf Lee golden child of Riot!" from 2013

Honestly, I feel like he is in a pretty good spot right now. Since I mostly play late game junglers that have high impact team fights, I don't mind Lee at all. The issue I think people have is that he's extremely popular. I heard a funny quote on here the other day "There are so many Lee Sin mains, hell even I main him and I don't even own him".

If he's in alot of games, his strengths will always be apparent, and people will assume he's op.

honestly i have never had an issue fighting lee's but i play heavier jungles. That being said his kit is extremely bloated. He has the highest pick rate of all the champs and yet is a little below 50% as everyone plays him. Now if you cut out half the fan base i am sure his numbers will rise hell the fact that any champs win rate goes up and their pick rate is low sets off alarms. So why is it he is so high in the pick rate yet is close to a 50-50 win rate? i think that speaks more then a 10% champ jumping 2-4 points.

He's a hypermobile early game focused champion with a great ult which if done well can easily win a game. He doesn't have any difficulty jungling due to his lack of mana (while he does have energy it is extremely easy to manage and using a spell will grant your next two autos energy regen) and has insanely good sustain from an ability granting 10% lifesteal (was 5% rank 1 until Riot buffed it by 5% at all ranks patch 6.18) and sits at a 50% winrate while having an extremely high playrate. While Lee Sin does fall off late game he still has the option to be a tank which can be extremely frustrating again due to his high mobility from his Q and W.

Would you consider Lee to be a good champion to learn on how to manipulate the map and mobility more?

Requiemsfire12/13/2016, 5:23:28 PM1 votes

Because he is when you want to talk about his effectiveness. Lee Sin is extremely dominant in the early game which is very much the most important stage of the game, his kit grants him high sustain, mobility and burst damage before even reaching level 6. He is very flexible with being able to counter jungle and gank for virtually no cost early on.

Overloaded and overtuned. There's two reasons.

37% playrate at normal winrate is definitely not healthy. We see him much more than we would see a balanced champion, after a while it gets tiring. Yes, there are bad lees who balance out good lees, but at this high a playrate winrate is not a problem by itself.
