AP junglers?

I've recently started jungling, and I'm mostly playing Kayn. When Kayn gets banned or picked I like to play Warwick and Jarvan , but when your team picks full AD (which happens pretty often) I try to think about an AP jungler to balance it out a little. But I really can't come up with a good AP jungler that I'll go well with, except Ivern that gets nerfed like every patch since his release. The rest of the AP junglers seem pretty bad imo, and the runic echoes item seems pretty under powered. Zac is a good champion I guess, but he's not really in for the AP damage, since you're mostly building tanky items with him.

What AP junglers do you recommend, and do you agree that the AP role in jungle is under powered right now (and may have been for a longer period of time)?

Elise Evelynn Diana Fiddlesticks Nidalee are really the only actual AP junglers.

Ekko Akali Fizz can be played though as junglers

I don't know outside of maybe Kayn/Kha all of the AD junglers are fighters while all of the AP junglers are just pure burst. Well all except maybe fiddle, but he is a dragon taker easily.

The AP junglers are actually quite good. The tricky thing remains that the nature of AP is that they deal damage then thier skills go on cooldown whille AD junglers can continue to right click for damage until their cooldowns recover. This leads to a kind of mixed champions they deal a lot of damage with thier auto attacks but empowered by AP. The form switching of Elise and Nidalee helps this by just having more abilities and Evelynn has a spammable that basically replaces an auto attack.

Ekko and Gragas are a couple of AP junglers you missed out on in your list they can be build varying degrees of tanky. Similar for Chogath Maokai Nunu . Also Kayle is underrated.

Fiddlesticks remains a unique champion his major issue is that he is faily slow and gets invaded pretty hard by early game junglers.
