Sated Devourer balance ideas

Premise: I love Sated Devourer, but I think it's a bit too strong on some champion; it can be tweaked without nerfing it too much I think.

  1. UNIQUE - PHANTOM HIT: Every second basic attack ON THE SAME TARGET will trigger on-hit effects twice.

Pretty straightforward, it's just a minor change but at least vayne bot with smite won't be able to switch between targets that often and still proc silver bullets.

Devourer is an ats item, meaning that'll proc its passive quite often on the same target and increasing the value of the item accordingly. What I think isn't very fair is that in late-game there isn't much counter-play to a fed -insert champ here-. With even gold and level (and skill), the character with the devourer wins the majority of the time, it's kinda frustrating seeing an adc/top laner with smite and a jungle item beating someone else of the same role so easily.

I like the first option more, the second tries to push a dps item into a burst item.

Personally I think they should reconsider giving it a on-hit multiplier altogether as it creates numerous areas for abuse.

i would really want to see how vayne got stated devour while in laning phase :)

I think they should remove the extra onhit as there are so many potentional abuse cases and use something more thats less prone to stacking certain items.
