Getting kicked for not locking in
I keep getting kicked because I forget to lock in a pick or ban. How about we make a feature so you only have to click once, like back in the old days.

I don't get why it's considered a dodge if you don't lock it in.
I mean, if you select a champ and just don't lock in, it should still count. (I've done this multiple times. Selecting a champion but forgetting to lock in because previously the timer would automatically count down for you).

Alternatively, just remember to click one more time... Plus, I've been trying to help by copy/pasting this message into every lobby I join:
"If you have a ban available, or if you are selecting your champion, LOCK IT IN! If you don't, then the queue will auto-dodge and sit you with a wait time penalty."

People who make their choice and then AFK have held up champion select in the past, so in an effort to speed things up, the current lock-in requirement was implemented.
The fact that people have picked up bad habits isn't a good excuse for them to waste everyone else's time, regardless of how little that might be.
how about you actually lock the champion? how about you actually pay attention to the game and not just afk for no reason?
Or just adapt and click that glowing "Lock in" button.
Just wow! It specifically tells you on champ select page now that you need to lock in your bans and picks. It's such a minor inconvenience and you guys still complain. What the actual fuck! Is there anything a typical LoL-er wont complain about?
People are literally complaining about having to click on a big yellow button once they picked a champ.
It's the dumbest update I have seen. It's not about missing the "yellow bottom". People like to make decisions, counter pick, etc... Yet they removed the planning feature. THE PLAYERS IN RANKED CANT EVEN DISCUSS COUNTER PICKS/TRADES, ETC with this change. It is so limited. Some people like planning a lot, especially me. I highlight a character and look for other characters to see if they will be a better pick. Guess what happened? I got kicked out and put to wait for 5 mins. They never do anything to improve solo play. If anything they worsen it. I quit the moment they removed solo play. They add it back so I get back to playing. See more dumb features. Quit again. You lost me and many other players that loved this game. These dumb changes isn't going to improve satisfactions. In the end most of us play for rank and we get 0 cared. My time and money wont be spent here anymore. Regret wasting 300 bucks in this game. Wasnt worth it in the long terms.
as a player who hasn't played for 2 years the lack of an auto lock is extremely annoying and has forced me to unintentionally dodge games where i had my champ chosen while i was picking all my sets out. the amount of time saved by forcing lock ins is minuscule compared to the amount of my time thats been wasted waiting for dodge cooldowns and forcing other people back into the que i just started the game up and in my fist match i get booted cause it didnt lock in for me. now i have to wait 5 minutes for a silly mistake, that really makes me want to start playing this game after leaving it for 2 years. i had no idea that it was changed and at first i didnt even realize it was me causing the dodges by not locking in i had to look it up on google to see wtf was wrong. why are you people so impatient its not like u have to go anywhere your here playing this game so chill out and let the game lock in for u. if you want to complain about long que times go play something else this game is toxic af anyway.

Yes, it's so stupid. You pick your champ, check your runes and summoner spells, maybe look through your skins and then you just look at your phone out of habbit or something and whoops that's a 6 minute ban.
It's not even like it actually saves time because you get kicked and everyone has to queue up again... after having waited the 30 or so seconds before you get banned. It's just stupid.
