After waiting in queue for 53 minutes, I'm told I will receive a penalty for leaving?!?! How does that even make sense, I expected a quick queue, but this is insane and now you want to PENALIZE me for having to wait for an hour?! I know sometimes queues can be long but not only is this frustrating, telling me im going to be penalized for leaving is even more absurd.

PrinceArchie16 votesIt honestly shouldnt matter if it's a premade 5. I have frequently done premade 4 and 5 man team builders with friends and the queues have been almost near instant. A penalty shouldnt be given out if someone wants to cancel after a certain amount of time. If that type of punishment is allowed what you're basically telling the player is that they must wait to find a group once fully assembled, no matter how long the queue takes. There should have been counter measures for this already in place.

They try to match 5 mans against other 5 mans. If there are no other 5 mans, or other suitable matches then you wait. There is nothing else to it.
PrinceArchie2 votesWell I hope the system doesnt work like that to look for specifically made parties. Any team of 5 in Team builder that is ready to go should be paired with another team of 5. Whether or not you guys searched for other positions or no should not make any difference in the availability of matches.
Killer X 124 votesIts similar to blinds and draft when they try to match teams with premades with other teams with premades. When you have a 5 man you wait to be matched with another 5 man with a comparable team MMR (average mmr of teammates). TB knows if you are in a premade or not (since you had to invite them instead of wait for players) and its unfair to match a 5 man premade against 5 solo queue players. They are matched with each other (trying to consider team MMR) such that the game is as fair as possible.

Why get penalized for wanting to leave after all that time? How does it in anyway affect the other team, or yours for that matter. Because I am sure your team knows why you want to leave, there should be no penalty for leaving for searching for a game.

You can be matched with level 30s as a level 10 in team builder. I'm sorry but this thread is pointless as it is obvious why it took you so long for a team to accept you.

It wasn't that he was waiting an hour for a team to choose him but he had a team, they were all ready to play, and it took an hour to find another team. Then when he tried to quit, the game warned him he was going to be punished for trying to leave after readying up.
Thryale2 votesI've had a really weird thing happen in team builders ages ago. My net dropped out for a bit then reconnected. I was no longer in the team, but I was still on the page and in the chat. So before I left, I was able to talk to all 5 of the guys there.
Maybe he dc'd but didn't get kicked out of the lobby? Cuz from the image, he's the only one talking.

idoki2 votesYou got trolled mate, you cannot get reported in a teambuilder lobby and only in post-game lobby (where it shows the scoreboard and the big Defeat/Victory sign). I'm guessing that you are fairly new and I suggest you just play blind pick for the meantime and fill in whatever your team needs (mostly people will leave the support role open anyways). I wish you good luck in learning League of Legends, as it is known to be extremely hard to begin with mainly because of the intolerance of the community.

So I closed the client and got on my smurf for a couple of games. When I logged back on, I got the leaverbuster popup and I had to agree not to leave another game. I checked out my match history and I had a leave.
Turned out that I was in queue for 10 minutes, but the game has actuly started for everyone else. I was pretty pissed to say the least.

RamboDash152 votesWhat I think happened is that you were unable to join the game and showed up as dc'ed from the game. I have had this happen to me a few times in normal queues. Was anyone else in your team typing in the chat? If not, then that is what most likely happened.
ADrunkMansTurtle2 votesyou miss the key word in your problem. You MAY!!!! get a penalty for leaving. No where on that picture does it say you WILL! If you leave too many ques doing that you will get a penalty but if that was your 1st time you get a mark agents your account then you do it some more you get a few more marks then when the system deems you as a quitter then you get your penalty.
