Prevent Poor Games; Introducing the In-Queue Ban

The vote-based system intended to allow Summoners to self govern needs one addition!

Queue-bans. If someone in queue informs their prospective team that he or she intends to feed or otherwise troll, a unanimous vote from the other four should remove said person from queue--docking 5 LP and preventing "the troller" from joining future queues for 20 mins.

Obviously this could be abused--by vengeful opponents, mean spirited children, etc. ~~So I believe that this option should only become available after the person to be removed has typed something in chat--either his condemning remarks or his defense.~~

Allow a unanimous ban to ban anyone--if FOUR team mates hate you, you probably trolled.

Indeed, many a troll game could be salvaged with a pre-game mechanism.

Because truthfully, there's one thing we all hate to see:

There's no way to add a system that detects if said person says "I'm going to troll" and then make the kick option avaiable, so the only way this could be implemented would lead to abuse.

The abuse would be less than that of the current system where non-trolls suffer or dodge because of one troll whom everyone agrees is a troll.

Not really. Often times I see players raging and ganging upon someone for their pick or whatnot. I'm not saying people announcing they're trolling or feeding doesn't happen, but it's less often.

Also, even if the player is not raging he could go like. "Hmm, this guy picked X champion, I don't like this, let me vote kick and see if anyone agrees" and this could more often than not lead to an unfair ban.

How do you suppose four people will by-and-large abuse this feature?...

I am suggesting that when a troll goes out of his way to make it known he's a troll (as some do when they are seeking dodges) then the HONEST players should not suffer for that. The troll should instead be removed if ALL other players dislike him.

Any champion pick the 4 agree feels troll with could trigger it.

Or simply because of role arguments they use some one to get out of it.

Or they simply feel enemy got champion comp they'll lose to.

If four agree that it's a troll pick it probably is--or it's a troll game anyhow.

And yes, people could attempt to "use someone" to get out of it but if you've ever attempted a surrender vote you know that it's unlikely to happen without an argument.

And as to the last, let's not forget that people want to play the game. Most probably wouldn't ban someone who wasn't trolling just because they so firmly believe they cannot win. Most "ban votes" would be ignored just like most trolling is--by at least one person.

No... I'm already getting flamed for picking support Poppy, I don't want to have to queue for one hour and a half simply to join a single game. Even less if I lose 10-15 LPs in the process.

Picking support Poppy (even in ranked) is not trolling and I find it hard to believe that ALL FOUR of your team mates will ban you for that. If they would, you'd probably have a better game with someone else anyway.

I've had Poppy banned away from me for voicing my intentions and even someone lock in support as 4th pick when I took it as 1st/2nd. There are all kinds of jerks in Ranked, and I don't see the slightest reason to get punished because they lack trust...

Otherwise that system also has the flaw of someone locking Urgot with clarity cv and never talking.

That's one troll though. Hence the unanimous vote-to-ban. If even one person chooses to let you play Poppy sup, you can.

As to your Urgot comment, what prevents that from happening currently?... I am merely suggesting the ability to ban trolls. Perhaps you are right, typing isn't a necessary precondition to trolling.
