Support Advice (Thresh Mains Wanted)

So far I've been playing League for I'd say about a month now. I've learned a lot about League but I'm still not a master at it (That will take a few years). I just started Ranked and have been playing a lot of Draft Pick. So far I've played only 3 ranked games, 2 as support and one as a top lane. I lost all 3 games and I got flamed a lot for it. Before going into another game (Ranked) I want to improve. I main support Thresh but I've also played Zilean, Soraka, Morgana, and Janna (My 2nd most played champ). I don't have enough IP to buy champs like Bard, Braum, Sona, Rakan (Not yet at least).

I want someone to help me by either giving me advice on being a better support on this thread or be able to come in game and teach me to be a better support. Be it general support advice or just teaching mechanics of certain champions. I play on EUNE. My IGN is Wohakoth.

Land hook (Always land hook even if it hits a minion it is better to hit something and have the 3 seconds off than hit nothing) make sure to last hit all canon minions, in some situations 45% cdr and tdr is better than coc, always try to proc coc with flay instead of hook given the activation conditions.

Ignite is better than exhaust in almost every situation since exhaust nerfs, learn and love the level 2 all in.

whenever possible place the lantern to advantageous places for your team ( never let yourself get blamed for not having thrown a lantern and it be them for not clicking it)

People probably won't click the lantern but throwing it is a nice gesture and can be used in clutch situations to save people.

learn all of the lengths of your animations, predictions are your new best friend.

your lantern can be used to reroute autopathing since you can't walk on it so when the enemy is retreating you can use it offensively to block the small gap by the wall of the turret causing them to go around and maybe get you the kill
