Jayce overnerfed

Since release thundering blow and acceleration gate got higher mana costs. Thundering blow lost the base damage on it. Acceleration gate cooldown went way up. Transformation stopped stacking tear. Hyper charge lost the double proc and .6 ad of the ratio. In exchange he got the movespeed and armor that every champion except amumu got when boots and runes were changed. I understand taking away the double proc on hyper charge (a strange strategy that didn't fit with Jayce), the base damage on thundering blow (absurdly strong) and the tear stacking (wasn't using mana to stack tear) but wtf are these other changes? Jayce has been stripped of too much power. He needs the damage back on hyper charge and a better gate cooldown, maybe 16/15.5/15/14.5/14 so you actually get something out of putting points into it. Or add more interaction between his spells such as accelerated hammer swings restore double mana.

i've an idea, let's just alleviate the problem entirely and delete jayce.

Based on what Riot stated that Jayce was intended to be in the last patch, they need to buff his melee Q.

I think all jayce needs is lower mana costs, or more mana regen on lightning field. Putting a lot more mana regen on lightning field introduces a weakness in to Jayce's kit. Since Jayce needs so much mana, if Jayce goes into hammer stance to farm and regen mana he is stuck like that for 6 seconds this is a great window of opportunity to jump him.

A short while ago, Jayce was considered OP. Since then, the only changes have been to hypercharge. Giving him the damage back will only make him OP again.

At this point in time, Jayce is in a good spot. Viable but not OP.
