Ways to improve Gameplay.

Right, lets get down to business. (this is not a rant, simply my two-cents, read if you want, offer Riot advice, i'm exercising the right to provide a company with good ideas).

Lets have a serious talk here. So the current system league runs on is a mute instead of return fire system. Correct? Well Riot, this game is about teamwork, so if I muted every baddie that flames me then I will never win a league game. Muting is handicapping yourself. Why would I handicap myself in ranked when i'm trying hard to rank up? That just doesn't seem logically intelligent does it, and on the off chance I do. (Sometimes I just say yolo). Then my team spam pings me. What do I do then? Currently you do not have a ranking system that rewards players for good play. If I lose my game I lose LP and MMR. If I lose my game because my team is flaming each other. I lose LP. I lose MMR. If I mute them I am helping them win. I am helping them make us lose the game. Now like you said everybody has a bad day and a bad game. So I don't report 90% of the people that flame. Why would I punish them if they are a little tilted about that 0/11 game they just had right? I mean we've all seen how Meteos played in Playoffs. Then we have the players that constantly flame (sometimes i am guilty of this yes). I report them, it takes three games to get a chat restriction. Maybe it reforms them maybe it doesn't. But then we look at the games that showed up, and Riot you do a little reading and see that, 90% of the time the player that gets reported is the player that is getting flamed by his entire team? Are you punishing him because he doesn't mute his team? Are you punishing him for not handicapping himself? So he doesn't mute his team because he wants to win, but after 20 minutes of "So lucky its 4v6, and this GP sucks (even tho he's 13/2)". So he says hey fuck off. BAM instant you done fucked up reported you get your account restricted. Do the same players that flamed him get punished? No? Why? Because toxicity is a part of league. So he doesn't report his teammates cause he understands that not everyone has those games. He has gotten used to the fact that tribunal is a joke.

Now lets chat about the severity of punishment.

Now I know you just don't love me because I always complain about you riot, but I like to see it as hey you can just ignore my comments with that good ol mute (Remove post button). I like to think of that as my way of relieving my stress and making it so I don't flame people. So back to severity of punishment. I know for a fact that the very first time I ever received a chat restriction which was 1-2 months ago, I never was able to receive chests again. Despite going weeks reformed, because I only did flame for a prank. I guarantee you I had honors in some of those following games. So do tell me why I never received a good 30 chests that I earned. I average a few S's a week. Moving off the point that we all know hex-tech is shady. Severity of punishment. You preach reform about players.

I have to ask. if you truly believe in reform. Why would you have a perma ban punishment? Thats so contradictory to anyone that has the ability to rationally think. (No I am not perma banned and I will never be). I understand we don't love Tyler1, but I have to ask, have you ever watched his stream? That is a man whom if you told he ever flamed 3 games in two weeks (we are all human sometimes we make mistakes and I won't say he wont do it on a random occasion) would gladly tell you he'd want a second chance. He still coaches for crying out loud. Do I hate him and his existence yes. Oh hell yes, please remove all the tyler1 dravens from my match history. However, you cause me to pity him by giving him a perma ban. I believe in second chances, I believe in reform. We can argue that the 14 day is a punishing suspension, but quite frankly I know I could care less I think if anything that drives me to want to be more toxic. I think the chat restrictions work 100% better.

You want to know how I think it would be best to improve this system? Remove suspensions/perma bans. Install Monthly Chat bans. Not game time. (Or if you would rather, A month worth of chat ban time). Quite frankly I love nothing more then receiving that Chat restriction, cause one it forces me to play without being able to communicate with my team, and I can still read what they say without replying, which lessens the chance of flame. Whereas if I have the chance to speak I will return fire, because I won't forsake my pride because that is what i'm told is the rules.** I also perform better on a chat restriction. I look at the minimap more, it makes me a better player.** (Generally by the end of chat restriction i'm feeling rejuvenated and reformed).

I also believe that if you are going to punish a player, look at the entire game chat, not just what the player reported said that game. I do not believe amnesty in league of legends is something you should give, that's just super contradictory, it allows flamers to get away. If i tell someone to kill themselves and they don't report me, but he says he penetrated my sister, and I report him. I expect myself to get the restriction too. If you want to tell me that this is too much work then you are making that 5M prize pool a little to pricey for the professional league. We all know what a reasonable and sustainable living income is.

Likewise, I believe there is a fine line, between giving advice, and flaming your team. If someone tries to tell their team something correct, and another player disagrees, and they get into an argument, that should be excused. We all have differing Ideals. You might like different politicians and that might lead to an argument. Should we punish a player every-time him and a teammate try to decide whats best for their team? You have to assert your dominance. As one of the casters stated at league festival.

We the community of league of legends are making it so players do not want to speak their minds because they are afraid of being flamed and shot down by the community.

You Riot, are making it so players do not want to offer advice to other players to help them get better, because they get punished for toxicity. If I see an AP Ashe in ranked, I am going to tell them its a bad idea, i'm going to try to tell them what a meta build is.

Also, Where is our graves cigar? (You don't have to be a meta-slave you pg-13 cucks, we hailed from warcraft 3, what was pg there? Don't break from your original values, and you want money you're a business, make a skin). + Give faker his ahri skin he's earned it.

Furthermore, a way to make your mute system a little more "Bearable". If I mute someone you better damn well make it so I don't see there pings. If i'm handicapping myself you better still not be giving them a tool to harass me with.

I currently as a league of legends player, do not feel that you truly look at the text of games when you go about delivering punishments. I feel that 75% of victims are non-toxic players. I feel like that's why your "tribunal" is so effective, not because it actually works. You can't teach an old dog new tricks. Psychologically your its not viable to believe that your punishments are effective. Back to that 14 day suspension. ("hm well what can I do for those 14 days? Oh I know, smurf" 210% me). On Smurf:"You guys are fucking autists who should kys". Chat restriction:"you guys are autism" -3000 minute wait period for next message". Notice a difference?

Thats where that perma ban comes in right? Banning those changeable IPs since 1925. Effectiveness level over 9000. -cough we all know Tyler plays on the side cough-.

Finally, Riot, can we be real here. Why is your ranked system the most primitive shit this side of ape-city? Make it give you LP based on cs/ k/d/a k/p/a So we can actually get placed in proper elo. 500 games is when you are in your proper elo my ass. More like I started this game in silver this year and took a hit from all the bad memes and can't get into plat because I gain so little LP.

Please take what I had to say at face-value, I think this is probably the most polite thing i've ever written to you, and it's to bounce ideas around your dev team's brain.
