I REALLY gotta stop reading Riot Q&As

I go in there expecting some actual smart dialogue, then I read something like this on mobility creep:

"Roles that need a lot of mobility, like assassins, aren't a huge problem, but roles that already bring a lot to the table, especially mages and ADCs, can be." (Totally explains why Assassins are one of the highest banned roles.)

So Zed, who has everything a mage has (in terms of range and damage, other than a stun), is healthy ... even when adding in one of the best escapes in the game, along with high mobility?
Oh, and let's not forget his near infinite sustain, either. But hey, at least they lowered his attack speed! :D ... (Did anyone ever complain about that before?)

"Even with these it doesn't need to be an ironclad rule that they can't dash, but they do need to pay for it elsewhere in their power budget."

Kalista pays for her mobility ... how? "Kalista needs something to hit to access most of her extra mobility." Oh, right, she needs to be in a fight to use her mobility ... which is the main time you'd need to worry about having good mobility. Makes total sense ... And when asked about her balance ... we got a big, fat change of topic after an answer that didn't actually say anything meaningful. How (not) surprising!

But hey, Kassadin is too strong with his mobility because he already pays a shitload of mana to do so in a constant manner, so he needs to be nerfed. Oh ya, Veigar and his stun needs to be nerfed too. Can't let him be too useful against the super fun mobile champs now, right?!

Kalista has no AoE. She can't escape unless there is something around to hit.

Her numbers need working (infinite scaling thinger needs a maximum or a much longer ramp up on monsters)

Problem is riot doesn't know how to launch champions with mobility, and some champions with too much mobility they just throw their hands up in the air and give up if it's winrate approaches normal (zed).

Does that honestly make sense to you?

When do you need to escape? When someone is chasing you. When someone is chasing you, you have something to hit. So what you're really saying is she can always escape.

There's going to be someone who complains that there's a (small) "cast" time, and I'll happily point them to Cait.

If there is nothing around what is she escaping from?

Unlike mages, Zed doesn't have long range waveclear, has mediocre teamfighting and is fairly useless in a siege. He has strong dueling skills and can shove pretty well if left alone. That's why you see him split push a sidelane lategame.
