This champion is way out of date. His damage is incredibly low. His energy costs are extremely high with very little energy recover, and his ult is countered by more than 80% of the champions or summoner spells or items out there. People want him to stay weak because he is annoying, but it shouldn't matter how annoying a champion is, everyone should be viable. He is due for a remake.
Summoner spells tend to be good against every champion, I don't see how that's an isolated issue for Kennen If I 4 stack someone on Darius and they flash away I either have to follow the flash or be cucked [sg-lux-2]

Not sure I agree but I'll just say he's one of those press R type of champs. The real issue is he plays in the top lane so he can't really afford to go full AP and such.

More or less accurate but his R is a team fight ability so it'll more likely still count and even if they do counter it he'll burn all of those cooldowns for his team to hopefully follow at the very least. Or you know, he could go in after they already burned their cds.
