They're really counter productive.

The passive, for starters, is just plain weird. Sure it's an interesting mechanic I guess but when it comes down to it, the change feels out of place, awkward and strange. It doesn't complement her kit, it doesn't add any depth to her gameplay, it just says 'Hey! You get six items! Cause reasons!'

Then there's the changes to her E... not only is it stupid broken, but it's counter productive as I said previously. Riot wants their champions to be unique and to have interesting mechanics. Cass was an interesting and mechanical champion. Often times it took a bit of skill to land a poison and get the sweet E damage off, but now that they've removed the need to have Cass' target poisoned, what depth does she have? The changes to her W make it really easy to poison a target, so why change the E? It takes away mechanics, makes her over-powered and does nothing but make her a click-spam champion.

For the most part, I'm behind the mage update. The new hextech items are cool, and most of the changes to champions are pretty sweet (although many are way to over-powered), but Cass' rework, to me, seems weird and kinda stupid to be honest. Am I alone in thinking this? Rant over.

Cass was a interesting mechanical champion before the Shurima update gutted her and chained her to a 40 minute state boost. This new update brings her back to basics and closer to what she was before that abysmal stacking passive and everything-sets-up-E kit.

Her passive and Q allow a smart Cass to kite before Rylais.

If you don't poison the target E does garbage damage on Pbe.

She feels better to kite with now. The update allows her to use E when she wants to rather than "mash for damage once poisoned" Have you gotten a chance to try her out yourself?

I think this Cass became unreliable, because you can now spam E on non poison targets. This cause you to do no damage while burning mana like there is no tomorrow.

Plus the W is incredibly hard to land forcing you to buy item 3116 when you really need mana and CDR as ypur first item. I feel like the cons outway the benefits cause you rarely ever get six items. on top of that, any champ can build six items if they want and still have decent movespeed from other items.

What you lose with this rework is free ap and Cdr, ironically, cdr is more important on the new Cass as it lowers her E cooldown and since your R is now your only defense, cdr is more important.

see the point i'm trying to make....CDR/mana is more important on new Cass, but you need item 3116 as your first item. Overall, Cass now needs slows/cdr/mana/health.

The requirements just went up

Well... yeah you kinda are.

Majority of her playerbase doesn't like her current iteration.

Meanwhile this rework is way better and has received way more positive feedback.
