The lone Hextech chest should be able to be purchased using Blue Essence.

Okay, so I understand that chests can be bough with RP, HOWEVER I have have eight keys and no chests, nor do I have the money to be able to purchase RP (much do my disgrace), but I don't understand why you cant just buy a chest using Blue Essence. I'm not talking about the chest and key bundle, I'm talking the lone chest. Just the chest, thats it.

Telling by how much the average, skin costs I'd say a good price would be about 1300 Blue Essence (more or less). another idea would be a "Random Skin shard" that you can purchase using Blue Essence, but I'd really prefer the chest because I got to get rid of these keys that have been sitting in my Loot for almost a year now. Plus I'm sure it would be a RELIEF for those who have hoards of keys to use.

But I'm sure Riot would want to keep a "daily purchase limit" for the lone chest so... maybe the daily limit can be 5 chests.

All I'm saying is that getting keys is easy, but getting chests.... not all of us can do that. Besides, I'm a Blue Essence hoarder, I have 20272 Blue Essence, I've already bought the Gem Stone Knight icon, I need some Chests, and Riot needs to at least make the lone chest purchase-able through Blue Essence.

You'd essentially be able grind out skins for free. Not so sure about this one. It would need to be a LOT of BE.

I don't mind the idea, but from a business perspective, you are essentially throwing money away, so i highly doubt that they would do something like this.

That being said, I do think most players only get chests or keys, and so finding a better system to ensure they get both no matter how they play is an important goal. Hopefully they come up with something because i have over 100 keys at this point.
