@Riot, Cait's laning phase makes it look like you guys aren't even trying. Maybe you aren't.

Cait has no trade offs in laning phase. Damage? Hell yes those head shots are insane. Self peel? Yes traps and net so strong. Why we can't destroy traps yet is beyond me. Mobility, more than a lot of adc's with her net dash. And the worst one of them all, Range? OMFG her range is absurd. It makes her way to safe.

Early headshot damage is good, but not crazy, and she has terrible base attack speed for building them up outside of bushes. They're also incredibly telegraphed, like her Q. Self peel is godlike throughout the game because safety is Caitlyn's thing. If we could destroy traps, they'd go from annoying to utterly useless. A 400-unit dash bound to a crucial skillshot and on a 16s cooldown for most of the game is not "mobility" in today's League of Legends. As for range, again, safety is Caitlyn's thing.

Caitlyn is exactly what she's supposed to be, and some Champions are just more fun to play than they are to play against. Annoying =/= a design or balance issue.

Actually, annoying is a sign of a design issue. It doesn't mean the champion is balanced or not. I.e., Vlad.

Not necessarily. Healers are annoying, but a key archetype in MOBAs. Targeted CC is annoying, but necessary to deal with Assassins and other mobile Champs. Assassins are annoying, but necessary to deal with hypercarries.

Annoyance is also usually a matter of perspective. As a prior ADC main who's extensively played as and against Caitlyn, I don't find her annoying, but I see why people do. Maybe playing as her is the answer.

I'd argue healers are not a key archetype in MOBAs, at least not in healthy ones. Ask anyone who's played Team Fortress. We've also slowly been removing targeted CC from the game since season 2.

I agree with all you said but there's one thing Cait doesn't really need for all the things she has going for her, the slow on her net, I wouldn't like it if they removed it but 50% at all levels is a bit insane, specially considering that Cait leaves the net at 1 level until lvl 16 or so, if the slow started at like 20% and ramped up with levels she'd feel a lot more fair to play against

THIS. i have had this conversation many times over, the typical response?... 'Cait is balanced, mad cuz bad.' - every Cait main. She outranges every other ADC, pair her with a tank and you auto-lose as she sits behind him and Q's you to death. Though I think it's safe to say she won't see any changes for a long time. item 3070 Twitch

That's just amazingly OP man. I'm a Cait main already, but if I weren't, I'd totally switch for that 0.86% advantage!
