is your dream a perfectly balanced game with a a change eery once in a while so that the meta doesn't get stagnant. Or do you want to constantly upset the game and then scramble to get it back just to mess it up again. I don't see why that's better?!?! People ar riot seem to just want to get their changes out their so they can see their work on the rift and feel cool, get over it and work together to make a good game.

evolution is their goal

they stay great by changing constantly

Otherwise things get stagnant and stale and boring if they don't change something periodically beyond just adding new champions.

Change needs to happen for people to stay interested. If they decided in season 3 to keep the game how it was and just add new champs, I doubt I would be playing it. New Summoner's Rift map, new elemental Dragons as opposed to the old gold dragons, new jungle, new items, scuttler crab, keystone masteries, getting rid of outdated items...These are all things that have improved the gameplay in my opinion. Hell my favorite champion is a rework (Gangplank), and stuff like the assassin update keeps champions like Talon from never seeing the light of day.

Theyre bleeding players right now so theyre trying hard to get ppl with "new stuff!". Think of it like a toddler wanting attention, so they cry(trash their own game with a bunch of stupid garbage).

They are iterating on the game and smoothing out problems. Sometimes that involves adding a bunch of stuff. Sometimes it's just changing a bunch of stuff. Long term, in my opinion, the game has only improved. Not that everything worked right off (that would be short term improvement).

Example:

Remember support before the gold items and trinkets? Supports earned like 1/2 the gold of normal champs and still were expected to keep the whole map warded for everyone. That felt wrong at the time, but I didn't know how to fix it. Then they added trinkets and gold items, and suddenly it felt better.

There is no "end" goal. That would imply that Riot wants to stop making LoL updates at some point, which they don't. There is no LoL2 planned.

not in my words but...

they don't like how the game has become so static, having jungle paths figured out to be the most optimal and such, so they are adding these rng elements to shake up things, first with the dragons and now with the fruits. in essence they want to have a slight catch up mechanic for players. the problem with this is that this isn't fair to the team that is outright and rightfully dominating.
