The fact that Soraka became a top pick is a testament to Riot's contempt towards this lane

Let me first start by saying that I don't have any problems with soraka being played top,she is very weak during the laning phase,can easily be killed and the only thing she can do is poke you.Yet,she became a top tier pick overnight.How is that even possible you might ask?

It's because this lane and pretty much almost all it's roster has LITTLE TO NO IMPACT on the game.It's the shittiest lane in terms of uselessness and also the shittiest to play due to heavy counter picks and ranged champions dominating almost every melee matchup which btw,90% of the top lane roster is melee.So it makes you think when a support makes his way on top and makes almost every champion played on that lane look useless in comparison.

And the answer is very simple,Soraka has huge map impact with her ult,can heal her teammates for high amounts of HP and doesn't suffer that much from being set behind,due to her being a support.This is exactly why a 0/10 top lane Soraka is more impactful than a fed Darius,because this lane is dog shit and a waste of time.And riot has been ok with that for so long,and they never fail in doing so,Sett being a prime example of this,along with mid 2019 Tahm Kench.

Oh,and speaking of Tahm Kench you gutted him as a support because he was broken and overpowered when played top lane.It's very funny that the very same thing is happening to Soraka as well.And it's pretty funny since she was already struggling in a coin toss lane that is monopolized by top tier supports like Nautilus and Leona.

So hypocritical of you to let Ekko run rampant for at least 2+ patches but nerf her immediately when you noticed she was being played outside of bot lane.You turned the game into a steaming pile of shit and despite the community negative feedback,you make it worse every patch.Players complained about snowball and one sided matches.

Riot: Let's add Dragon soul and Elder execute (which is by far the most unnecessary and fucked up mechanic ever thought about).So that the jungler who first gained an advantage will make his team steamroll the other team with close to none chances of comeback.And don't even get me started on how is it like to be counter picked top,forced to play under tower and your jungler just got autofilled.Clearly,I had the most fun in my entire life.

Seriously,just delete this lane already if you hate it so much.

No-no-no. He was gutted as Support to make room for buffs for Top Tahm. He turned out to be a super oppressive pick on Top, which needed to be gutted, so the balance team ended up making him both his main role and off-role hideously bad.

No... it's a testament to Riot's incompentence and a lucky circumstance that allows Riot to see the result of changes that were made to Soraka in season 6. LMAO. I mean it has been over 3 years and now suddenly it's an issue? This balance team is just so sad.

They should ask themselves this: Is it a good idea to give a support champion a ranged ability that slows, does aoe damage, and also heals yourself and how much sense does this kind of spell make on a support? ... Even Vladimir doesn't get that much from maxing 1 spell.

Then you look at patch 6.5 and you find that at this time a lot of people were crying about Soraka being too "uninteractive" as support, because most players were maxing W, self heal scaled with point in W. So Riot made her "interactive" by removing the self heal component from W and putting Rejuvenation on Q to give Soraka an incentive for Q max and being more aggressive. Of course nobody fucking cared, they just hated Soraka and couldn't be bothered with thinking of alternatives and Riot actually just listened to this stupid narrative of the enchanter that is "too uninteractive". In hindsight are they gonna learn anything? Most likely not.

And the community? Did they learn anything? Will they not complain about back line supports that are "too uninteractive" anymore?.... probably also no.

But seriously this is what enchanters often do... they are in the back of the back... and why would they not be there? They are squishy with poor defense and poor offense doing their support stuff... does this sound like a champion that pokes you every few seconds and "leeches" your health? I thought Soraka is a healer and not a vampire, then how the fuck did we get to this point?

Friendly Reminder that Raka is also played ADC and Mid in Master+ tier right now. Only reason she isn't picked JG is because she can't clear it. Soraka is broken TOP lane is OP why not play OP champ in OP role.

That is exactly why I stopped playing top lane. It has no impact on the game and honestly I don't even mind if my top feeds anymore. Even a fed top laner isn't going to carry at this point, unless perhaps its a Tryndamere running around 2 shotting people. On top of having literally no impact on the game, its also the most frustrating and boring lane to play. You pretty much get carried all game, and if you feed you are on your own because junglers have no reason to gank top aside from getting herald, but other than that you don't get ganks, it doesn't matter if you fall behind a bit, and it doesn't matter if you get ahead a bit.

Yes, that's he reason why. It's BS. I was PLAYING against one, dumpstered her 2 deaths, and she came back with 5 assists.

I nearly spit my drink out.

And the point of Elder is to help games close out. If anything else, it gives the enemy team 1 more chance to come back from a Soul if they missed Dragons.
