The biggest problem with /remake

Riot recently announced a new feature, where, if you get into a game with an afk you have the option to type "/remake" to begin a vote to end the game because it isn't a fair match. There are no penalties/ leaver buster/ lp loss for doing this. There has to be no first blood, and someone has to be detected by the system as afk for at least 90 seconds to start the vote, which has to be done before the 3 minute mark... leaving you a 90 second window of time to /remake and hopefully get at least 1 other person to agree to surrender (including yourselves).

Thats all fine and dandy right? good feature to avoid playing an unfair match because of connection issues. What doesn't make sense to me is why the person who is afk gets penalized (leaver buster/lp loss)??? To me this makes little sense and here's why: -- Scenario A - Connection Issues Someone queued to play, made it to the loading screen, and encountered an error. Maybe the game crashed or they didn't realize it ever started because they are sitting there looking at a loading screen while everyone else is playing.... we all been there. In this scenario the player SHOULD NOT BE PENALIZED because it wasn't their fault. Agreed? -- Scenario B - Intentional AFK Someone joined the game and sat in the fountain. Maybe they getting some pizza? Maybe they had an emergency, but THIS PLAYER SHOULD BE PENALIZED because they have the ability to play the game but choose not to. -_- Scenario C - The troll Someone joins the game, runs straight down mid, first blood in 15 seconds. You CAN NOT /remake because someone gave up first blood. troll then afks. HE SHOULD BE PENALIZED, BUT ISN'T.

So to recap: of the three scenarios - 2 deserve punishment, 1 does not. 1 that deserves to be punished can not receive it, and one that does not deserve to be punished will receive it. The only option that should be punished and can be punished is the least common problem, which happens literally never, at least not for longer than the first 3 minutes. -_- TL;DR: If /remake is designed to help solve the issues of people experiencing connection problems, why does it penalize that player for something they can not control. Additionally, why are we are not punishing the people who DO have the ability to play the game, and chose to ruin it for others. RARELY IS ANYONE AFK AFTER 90 SECONDS, BUT BEFORE 180 SECONDS, WHO ACTUALLY DESERVES A PUNISHMENT, AND CAN RECEIVE ONE.

Seems unfair imho. Don't punish players for having a connection issue, do punish players ruining games for fun?? maybe it's just me..

If you are having connection problems, you shouldn't be playing ranked.

If I afked for whatever reason and the 9 players chose to remake, I would be okay with being the only one that takes a hit.
