Dear Riot, I am glad you are reverting Twitch's Passive but will it be good enough?

(Reposted this because it was deleted due to placing it in the wrong category So I am hopping I got it right this time. I thought Board feed back was ok, I guess it has to be in Game play Balance? ) A while Ago I made this post. Please have a good look at it. http://boards.na.leagueoflegends.com/en/c/gameplay-balance/ag5t1ZBQ-people-are-demanding-twitch-to-be-buffed-lets-get-riots-attention-about-it

I think it may sound like I was making mostly rants before I gave out my ideas what Twitch will need but I still feel I have a point.

I am glad you decided revert his passive back the way it was ( Patch note 5.6) but I am still wondering if this isn't going to be good enough. Are people gonna pick him back up just because if his passive?

I am only happy part way about this buff. I still think he needs one more good buff that will help him reach to his late game. Right now Twitch still doesn't have any mechanic to help him reach to his goal.

I still think Twitch needs either mobility or something to help support his AA.

HOWEVER, One thing that needs to be fixed is his ult. (I addressed this in the link above) This still bugs me and I have a high demand for cause I believe it's necessary. Please have a good look at it.

I think Twitch needs some real love after Kalista does practically the same job with much more security. Buffing his passive like this is meh; even though it's stacking true damage, it's not going to have any threat in the late game (which is where his stat and ability scaling take over). You're not going to pick Twitch over Kalista on this patch; she's still too good and comparatively he's just not as good.

I think his stealth could be reworked. I liked having it as an escape like it was through the first part of season 4. There's nothing wrong with that. It's literally the same thing as Zed being able to dive an enemy with his ult, realized mid-dive this is a bad idea, and then press R again to pull himself back out of danger. I don't like that Riot is artificially forcing Twitch to use his stealth and his ult as an initiation.

I'd like to see the attack speed steroid from the stealth and the damage buff from the ult switch abilities. To me, that thematically makes more sense: if you get the drop on someone due to your stealth, you should do extra damage. Meanwhile Rat-Tat-Tat-Tat should be more like unloading a submachine gun: maybe not the best damage per shot, but a high rate of fire to make up for it. Plus I think it's more reasonable to believe the piercing shots are coming from a high rate of fire ability than a high damage one.

I also think his W could be reworked. Prior to the mobility-creep meta, I thought it was pretty good because it gives Twitch everything he needs to make his Contaminate/Expunge actually assassinate his target. In the recent days of the assassin meta, it's much less useful. It's difficult to come up with how to make it useful while balanced though; you can't just scale the passive stacking to the ranks because he could max that second, throw W onto a target, auto once for max stacks, then push E for massive damage instantly. I don't have a good answer for that yet.

Twitch and Kalista both occupy an odd place in the meta: assassins by definition are able to burst you down pretty quickly, while marksmen are traditionally much more sustained damage over a longer period of time. Making marksman/assassin hybrids is a pretty volatile mix resulting in either something once threatening as a hypercarry, now underwhelming in an unfavorable meta (Twitch) or something inherently overpowered and cannot be balanced without savaging her identity (Kalista).

I made a reply that's appropriate for this thread too. It's here.

Also, they didn't revert the passive to pre-nerf values. The late game values are the same. It is only buffed for the early levels.

it still wont matter, his base AD is too low to win trades early on, unless he straight contaminates and gets out then he will just break even after the poison damage.

unless ofc twitch dodges the enemy's damaging ability and gets his contaminate out, then he can win a trade, otherwise twitch will still struggle to break even.
