just another rant about ranked

i just had 4 ranked games in a row that had a DC on my team, which led to a loss, which led to me being demoted.

ranked is not based of off skill from what ive seen, its purely based off of luck, you can dominate your lane, but if you get a DC/troll in your game then it becomes more along the lines of impossible since team fights truely wins the game(some exceptions)

i love bettering myself, i love the idea of playing ranked to meet people who challenge me to be the best in my role, but the ranked system riot has is just garbage.

it makes me just want to quit, i know i can move up if i put enough time into it, the problem is i dont want to get demoted more due to people leaving game/trolling and then i get punished for it, i know you can still win a 4v5 but its not what i signed up for.

i dont start a ranked Q and think to myself "hmmm i wonder what the best 4v5 comp is" or "i hope this game is a 5v5"

the scariest thing in this game should be an unwarded bush, not wondering if you will lose ranks because someones going to leave...

Ranked is luck in the sense that not everyone is in the division that they "should" be in. Maybe I deserve to be in gold 1 or 2, I tell myself that should be in plat 4... But I'm plat 5. Maybe I should be plat 5, maybe i'm lucky/unlucky to be here.

What I'm saying is: Silver 2 players get stuck in silver 3, diamond players don't get stuck in bronze.

4 DCs is really unlucky, that sucks dude.

But besides the unbelievable bad luck going your way (I had in my 10 placements 1 dc and 2 elo boosters = 3 losses), you shouldn't let that affect you too much. If you dropped, it means the next couple games are going to be super easy and you'll have fun owning. When you're playing ranked you should always either:

  1. be much better than your opponents, carrying every game or
  2. be the same skill level as everyone and not focusing on winning but on improving your play. Play your favourite champion for example and if you lose lane you're like "Well now I know how to lane against X".
