Rank Rant

I am not proud to say but I am a Silver V.

I really enjoy playing ranked games. Lately I have almost exclusively played ranked games. They are a blast because everyone brings their A game. I have recently discovered the gloriously fun game play of Evelynn. In all but two of my games with Evelynn I have had a positive KDA with a high point of 11/3/19 and a low point of I think 1/4/0 (We FF at 20 from a fed Fizz shiver) (I know I know "buy a Zhonyas to avoid the burst." Well that's hard to buy without much farm.)

Anyway, I feel I play a good jungler. I rarely have a game where it ends with a sour mood. I always stay positive with my team. I provide constant ganks in nearly all lanes while picking up the jungle monsters in between lanes. (Sorry top, you are usually hardest to gank (insert meme here with the dude saying "WHY YOU SO FAR AWAY???"))

But I love my laners. I care for them. I nurture them. In many cases in which I could easily take the kill, I don't. I share the deaths of our opponents with my team so we can ALLLLLL get fed.

However, in a large portion of the games I play, we should win but one of my lane dies and feeds. One of the last games I played my Nasus had no idea what Olaf does. In that same game Shaco got fed, TF got fed, Jinx got fed, and Olaf got fed. GG!!!!

I do my best to have vision of my JG and their JG. I get most Dragons. I do well in team fights. I focus the damage dealers. Until my last five games I have ALWAYS been in series to go up a rank BUT I CANT MOVE UP!

Solo Queue Sucks!!!!! None of my friends like to play ranked, they just play ARAM. So I am left alone to try and climb an unclimbable ladder.

I'm not saying I'm the perfect player, I make mistakes. Some of them are really stupid mistakes. Like I tried to dragon once without smite and the enemy jungler (Sej) dashed in, smited, and killed me because I was low. My bad. I should have waited for the rest of my team to show up and prep for dragon. But I won't make that mistake again. I LEARN from my mistakes, that is why I feel I should be climbing the ladder.

I have played League for a while now and have never been in bronze. I was put directly into silver. I have heard it gets better when in Gold where bronzies can't join the game. But since I am silver, I get put in teams with bronzies who don't really know what they are doing.

I need someone to climb the ladder with. I need a duo whom I can curse with and at LEAST have one other competent player on my team. Someone who I synergize with well. (Is synergize a word?) I don't even blame the people who don't play well. EVERYONE has bad games.

All in all, I love LoL. I like Riot and feel they are doing well. I do not blame Riot for my shortcomings or the shortcomings of my team.

I just wanted to say this and I feel there are a lot of people out there who feel the same.

Don't comment like this without reading the post.

From above:

That is also not true. I have MMR for a league or two above where I am.

sadly, if you are matched with someone, you have the same MMR. if your mmr is higher than your elo, the bronze person has an even higher MMR compared to his elo.

I'm gold 5 and my mmr is silver 3/4. It didn't get that way because I'm bad. (so I like to think) I duo with silvers and sometimes lose and it rapes my mmr. Riot's system is very very flawed in a way that mmr must be generated and deleted instead of given and taken

its there because you are bad trust

I feel you.

I am a bronze jungler but I boast an average KDA of 4. I watch replays of every game I play and study LCS games to improve my play. However, I've had so many bad experiences in soloQ that I refuse to play ranked anymore without a duo partner. I know quite a few people in gold, plat and diamond and when I play with them against other higher ranking people I still have a high KDA. And yet I still can't carry myself out of bronze. I'm seriously considering shifting to mid or ADC because I often feel like it doesn't matter how well I do as a jungler if my mid and ADC suck.

See, I love top and ADC. They are fun as well. But there is something about not having to dance the laning dance that appeals to me. Getting to set up and make plays just makes a heart full. I just want people on my team who I can trust.

That's why 90% of my ranked games now are team ranked games. Its just so much more fun to play with people you trust, especially when you can easily communicate with them on team speak. Most of my time on league now is spent practicing for our weekly team games.

That is the same reason my friends only play ARAM. But I want to climb the solo/duo ladder. I will conquer silver. My goal is to make it to gold be the end of the season.

Try finding a team on the boards. I went through 4 or 5 teams before I found a good one. I got lucky and was given a fair tryout by a team that were all higher rank than me. I beat out a bunch of junglers that were higher rank than me because they said I had better mechanics and gank presence. Since joining that team I've only gotten better. Playing with better players (and watching your replays) helps immensely.

Thousands of players climb out of silver every day, no reason why you can't. You're exactly where you belong. Once you realize that you're the problem and focus on your mistakes instead of thinking it's your team mates holding you down you will start to climb.

if you shouldve won that game, you wouldve won that game.

also by having a look at your match history ill have to tell you youre not better than were youre at. yes, going on playing will help you improve, but right now its not the bronzies that destroy your games. youre not better than them. youre sitting at bronze 1 - silver 4 MMR, and you average a 2.0 KDA, consisting of 6/7/7 avg stats. thats honestly not good for a jungler, 45% KP is also quite low.

i'd highly recommend buying less dmg items. youve bough 3-4 dmg items in games where your team lacked a tank multiple times, on eve and on jax. youre supposed to fit your teams needs to win, and if your team needs a tank dont go warrior bork triforce hydra :)

I appreciate the feedback.

I recently changed my main to jungle. Most of my time playing LoL has been playing top/adc.

If you look at the games I jungled my KDA is about 3.5 which isn't much better, and I understand that. But it is better.

Fritterz1 votes

Screw it, I'll just buy shaco.

If any of you don't believe me, duo with me and see. For the most part I am a decent player. I was recruited to a local team to play in a tournament and I was able to hold my own against platinum players. (not saying I won the lane. I did lose the lane because I know they are better than I am. But I didn't feed. I was actually able to pick up a few kills against them.)
