Balancing in recover exp for afks or lower level players.
Just now I just played against a game against a adc cait that was afk for about 5 mins at the beginning of the game. His supp is level 6 while we are lvl 4/5. In less than 1-2 mins Cait has caught up in levels and the supp (naut) is level 7. I understand that since the beginning of League of Legends Riot wanted the game to be fair and team oriented. What I dont understand is how someone could catch up so soon. Someone might say oh she wont have the farm, but after recovering with the from my thresh and a tanky/overleveled supp she recovered and benefitted from afking. Perhaps there should be tiers of time for the experience gain. A player shouldnt be able to catch up in 2-3 waves as far as levels/exp unless they are level 1 at 20+ mins in the game. Regardless of reason to why the player DC (lag, bad computer, or just dont want to play) in the early stages of the game, he/she should not be able to be back in the game instantly. There are times where I make someone back 2-3 times pre-6 and these players still somehow watch up in a wave or two. This most certainly happen considering I would have double their farm and more kills. So I guess the balance that I would like to see is the rework of exp gain as far as level and time. If player A dc's and comes back 30 mins then yeah he should be able to catch up to the lowest level member of the game, but if a player dc's in the first 5-10mins in the game a wave or two should not be what it takes to recover from being gone from the game. Thoughts?
