CS and It's Impact On Mastery Rating
I make this thread because of salt. So much salt. LETHAL doses of salt in my system.
To preface this, I am a diehard
main. I love this character so damn much. I've played him almost non-stop ever since his relaunch, and I don't regret a second of it. Nothing would make me happier than to have that shiny Mastery 7 icon.
Yet I can't get it. Hell, the only reason I'm at mastery 6 with him right now is because I'm pretty sure the system glitched one day and started handing them out like candy. After hundreds of games, from my best to my worst, I can definitively say what my problem with getting high mastery scores is.
Creep Score.
I don't see why when I'm jungling, creep score should have such a large impact. It doesn't matter how high my kill contribution is, it doesn't matter how many dragons I smite or buffs I donate to mid, it doesn't matter if I was among the highest damage dealt in the game when my average build is almost pure tank, I'll be lucky to even scrape out an A if my CS isn't high.
Just to give an example of this bullshit, I'm going to list a few things I did during my most recent Sion game!
In my last game I did the following:
- I tied for highest kill contribution on my team, with a score of 9/4/16.
- I had the third highest gold total in the entire game
- Second highest number of kills in that game.
- Fourth highest damage dealt to champions, and second highest damage overall
- I successfully smited all four dragons
- And I did all of this with my only 'damage' item being a

But despite all of that, because of my CS ending up at 115 after a 32:11 game, I couldn't even scratch out an S_-_.
I've been clawing and scratching trying to meek out the last S I need to finally get mastery 7, but unless I decide to stop doing my job as jungler and farm rather than gank and help out team mates, it looks like that won't be happening.
