Why can't I play Yasuo or Riven?

I feed every single game when I play any melee champions.

I've only ever played ranged champions and every single time I pick up a melee champion I am absolutely horrible at the game. I'm trying to learn yasuo right now and I'm doing extremely bad but I can easily play Ahri and do extremely well.

Contrary to what many people claim, Riven and Yasuo do actually require skill to do well with. It is extremely easy to differentiate those who are experienced with the champions from those who aren't.

I would suggest starting with more straight-forward melee champions (i.e. Darius, Irelia, Renekton) before trying the harder, squishier ones.

I will direct you to this video for advice and tips on Yasuo:

Its really informative and helped me a LOT. Sure I'm not the best with him and I'm still learning him, but due to playing him and learning his kit I have come to understand how to shut him down. I hope this helps you as well!

Some of the information is a little outdated but the information on learning to play him/deal with him is still good.

yasuo has high skill cap. try garen for begginers in melee champs.

Im pretty "good "with Yasuo and Riven mechanically but I still feed with them most of the time lol. Maybe we just werent born to play squishy melee champs

Because you've never played a squishy melee champion before, and they're inherently riskier than squishy ranged champions and most tanky champions.

Both are also more mechanically demanding than other melee champions.

I'd recommend you pick up Tryndamere. He's also a melee champion that builds full damage, but is easier to play and a bit more forgiving due to his ult and Q.

Like other people are suggesting, start with easier melee champs first before moving to Yasuo and Riven. Learn the basics of what it's like being melee vs Ranged with people like Garen, Darius, Panth and Illaoi before moving to more mechanically demanding champs like Riven and Yas.

Start learning with small steps.

its because yasuo is underpowered and requires skills

and riven, no offense but you are just bad at her
