I am in a three hour blind pick, normal queue
My friends get queued up for games in less than 2 minutes most of the time. How can I make my queue times faster?

if you get to double the estimated wait, especially after having a lobby pop up and it is either declined, not accepted, or you had a lobby with a dodge, quit the que and try again
In Blind Pick? Reach whatever MMR they happen to have.
Certain MMR ranges have higher populations of players, thus more people who are likely to be queuing at any given time. This can lead to faster queues.
And here Riot wants to get rid of Draft pick because "No one plays it" lol.
level up.
low levels have a lower player population which makes matchmaking harder.
