Change my mind: Surrender is bad for the game

I'm one of those people that don't surrender, trying to win regardless of what happens. I think surrender is only there to prevent people from leaving the game early, thinking they can't win. Like the surrender option is only there to get people out of the game quickly instead of going afk. And when those people don't get a surrender because their premade bot won't press "yes" then they throw a tantrum.

And be honest with me: Is it THAT hard to play a loosing game? Like, you learn how to get better at playing from behind. Instead those people bitch in chat and go afk or troll. Loosing is part of ANY game, imagine you sulking while playing a board game with friends constantly saying that you want to give up and saying how you have no chance at winning. You ruin the expirience for all other players.

Or imagine seeing a soccer game and at the 40 minute the loosing team just leaves the field. The enemy team probably came for playing (yeah sure for winning as well) and they just get blueballed instead, having fun for like a few minutes. People in League nowadays give up way too soon.

It's all in the mindset of the individual.

All games in gold and below can have potential comebacks.

The winning team can throw on the steps of your nexus very easily.

However good luck doing this when 3 players are like "impossible comeback gg open".

There is no advantage to making every open mid in place of surrendering. The game is over in both cases, one just wastes more time.

Not sure how European football works but in American football, when the game is over and the team takes a victory formation snap, both team will walk off the field (or to each other's sidelines) even if the clock doesn't hit zero.

League isn't like soccer, in soccer your opponent doesn't get fed. Its as if you were playing soccer versus enemy that managed to procure shoes that let them run twice as fast...

i agree with you completely. if people want to leave a losing game they can just suck up the penalties and move on. just cause they want to leave doesn't mean they can force other players to leave. i've seen every excuse in the book to surrender (even did a little mini game about it here on the forum. link below) and frankly the people i hate most is those that spam the surrender button. they call a surrender once and it is a 2/3. no big deal. few minutes later they try again. again a 2/3. they try a third time and at this point they are spamming. when people say no they need to accept it. not spamming the hell out of the surrender button. either play the game or exit the game. i never surrender and never have called a surrender (except one time when i was tired as hell and it was i think 2am) league should not be different from any other game out there. say you are playing chess or checkers and are losing big time. do you say "gg" and give up? no. so why should you do it in league? there is absolutely no benefit from surrendering and by surrendering you screw the other team out of a victory. so i will not even attempt to change your mind and instead join you on this never surrender train. https://boards.na.leagueoflegends.com/en/c/memes/xVw72Obi-its-time-to-play-family-feud

Yeah those defeatist are really the bane of LoL.... They think they're pro by saying 'open mid' while in reallity they're nothing but crying toddlers.

This guys are so annyoing and the surrspam that starts in 3 of 4 games @15 with scores like 10-14 and doesnt stop... I went from a player that surrenders when needed to someone who just moves the surrwindow out of my screen when it first comes up.

Simply to stop these idiots from distracting me mid teamfight by popping up this stupid window while fighting, which also hapens on a regular base. Especially since it's usually the dude who gets him selfe caught completely out of position and how has nothing better to do than being even more annoying whiele the others try to carry his dead weight around....

When bot lanes stop going 0-9 by 10 minutes, then we can end the need for surrendering. I'm not into this never surrender bullshit. If I have a 0-3 mid, 0-9 bot and 1-4 jungler by 10 minutes, I don't want to play that out. I'd rather take my chances next game. That game is over.

Surrender is for when your trying to play a normal game and have fun, but you go up against a 5 man premade and your Jungler whose trying to learn the JG role gets absolutely smashed and the enemy jungler snowballs every lane, and because the enemy team is coordinated combined with their gold advantage you basically have no chance.

Also the game is so snowbally right now.

My favorite is when the enemy team has all your outer turrets down, maybe even a couple inners, the kill score is like 19-5 for the enemy team, but your 3-4 top and 2-2 jungler vote no because even though theyre behind they're not "super behind" but they ignore the fact that their other team-mates are less useful to the team than a super minion.

Edit: Bonus points when the Ally Jungler who votes No is 2-2/1-1 etc and playing SUPER SAFE, but the enemy jungle is like 7-1 and making plays everywhere on the map.

Edit 2: And my favorite classics "We have lategame"/"We outscale" when the enemy team is up a ton of gold, towers and dragons.
