How do I play lee sin?

ok, first off, take note of your passive. For your early clears, you ability-AA twice-ability-AA twice-etc. That maximizes your dps ensuring you can survive the jungle. secondly, max Q-W-E. Reading all your abilities should get you most of what you need to know to survive the jungle.

Apply face to keyboard. Profit.

Practice. That's the only way. Also, don't toss your Q when you're walking into lane and ganking. Try to get as close as you can, either by walking up or using W. Once you get close enough, EE, THEN Q. Getting close and slowing them is gonna make it a lot easier to land your Q. My ganks started going waaaaaaaaay better after i stopped charging at them tossing out Q....then missing and sulking away into the Jungle a sad blind man.

Master the use of your Alt key, or whatever you have bound to selfcast. Use that with your E (Shield.) and you'll cast it on yourself instantly. This is highly useful and apparently not widely known since a lot of lee's will shield their ally on a leash, even when they're taking no damage.

Also, for ultimate killing, here's a combo:

E jump to a minion, Q an enemy, R them away, and then activate Q again to jump to them as they land. W twice if they can outrun you, and proceed to then punch them a lot.

Hes a really complex champion. Personally, I fed with him almost every game for the first like 30 games, before i even had any idea of what to do. RIght now i have 81k mastery points on him, and hes really fun. Make sure to use your passive to your advantage, and remember your Q is an exectute. Ward hops are very very good. Practice them in custom games, and once you get good at them, youll be able to juke all kinds of skillshots. Also, your earlier game is very strong, so gank as much as you can- within reason of course, dont forget to farm. One big thing that helped me, was watching lots of lee sin montages once i started being able to do well with him. Ive watched lots of lee sin montages on youtube, and it taught me new tactics that i use in my games now.

There are many ways to build him. You can take the green smite and ward trinket if you dont want sightstone. Or, if you do get sightstone, you can go red smite for stronger 1v1, and blue smite for easier ganks, and it can help you land your Q easier, which is helpful when youre new to him. Black Cleaver is an excellent item, and I build it almsot every game. Remember that he falls off hard late game though, so you want to get pretty tanky, but youll still do a ton of damage. Personally, I prefer to go Red smite, with warrior upgrade > sightstone > merctreads/ninjatabi > black cleaver. If youre very very ahead, (like 4/0 and have vision control) ravenous hydra can help you extend your lead with more damage.
