Because every champion in the game has a dash right? With his pull and slow (quick slows is all he needs) + Black Cleaver's rage passive, if you don't have a dash or if flash on CD you can't escape him.

new darius get ahead in laning phase. sorry but that aint happening. he can only get kills if his jungler camps him and kses the jungler. building tanky wont help you against the most popular adc Vayne . he probably stole the penta from the adc jungle or mid laner.

the cooldown is there so that he can stand a chance in laning phase the heal is there so that he can stay alive but it has a cap and the heal is in a small area and it has a delay so that you can gtfo

Darius has the ability to build tank my items while still being a huge power house. His Q I believe restores HP based on how many champions get hit. Enough auto attacks and you need to turn around and run away.. better hope his R isn't up or you'll be wishing you would have locked into Teemo or Vayne.

he needs to hit a certain area of the q for it to heal so he needs item 3009 to actually hit it without being slowed but that would make him weak to other kinds of cc. he needs the damage so he can be semi useful. his heal also has a cap which is 3 enemies and WHY ON EARTH WOULD YOU BE IN MELEE QUARTERS WITH HIM YOU ARE PRETTY MUCH FEEDING . his r has shit scaling and has a short range.

All melee champions need to be within a certain range. So why can he hit his Q and get 30 something percent of his health back and cause people to bleed. In addition, he can hook you even if you're trying to adjust your positioning. I'm currently gold 4 in ranked and you see less Darius bans as you move up in Elo because better players do know how to move around Darius but as it stands Darius is a blind pick noob lock in, imo. He's overpowered enough to be newer players or just to counter pick if he isn't banned and you have that option. I do think he's OP personally and even at my current ranking would consider banning him.

sure but they would be in the inner circle that has less damage and his heal is in a small aoe. the hook is delayed. he can only get the jump on any new account that isnt a smurf he has too many counters like Vladimir Quinn Aatrox Jax Fizz Trundle Fiora Riven Tryndamere Urgot Renekton Olaf i think he needs to be reverted.

If, when you see him q, you go near him, he will do almost no damage, won't build passive stacks, and won't heal on you, just build some AR and stick to him and he's not so hard to deal with for most mid-game champs. Darius is a noobstomper, for the new ones he's unbeatable, for the average he's annoying and for experts he's a joke, he's in no way OP (and just to be fair: I NEVER PLAYED DARIUS IN MY LIFE, but I've obviously fought him countless times like most players have).
