How not to be 100-0'd every five minutes

It's a real problem for me, especially when playing immobile supports. Jungler ganks at level 3, my wards don't make a difference because by the time I've seen them they're already on me, and suddenly my health just vanishes.

Late game it's still happening, except instead of 100 damage in a single shot, it's 1000 damage.

How do I avoid this, besides just staying under my turret the entire time?

Either ward deeper or pay more attention to your mini map to see them as soon as they show up.

For bonus points, implicitly track their jungle route based on knowledge of where they started or seeing them gank elsewhere, and have a pretty good idea of if they're top side or bot side as a result. You may not have direct vision of them, but you can get a pretty good feel for when they're going to come.

Also, I tend to assume the worst case scenarios if I don't know better, so if the situation is "If the jg is here annd we push up, we'll die", then don't push up.

That said, I feel like an early gank should at worst blow summoners rather than translate into a kill, and then you should be playing somewhat safer until your summoners are back.

I think the best is just freezing lane. If you have wards and your lane is frozen then even a fast jungler has to be at risk to gank. You do not have to play under turret, just close to it. Only push when you see the jungler is at top AND mid lane assassins are still in lane. With the high damage LoL is more than ever about not who can make a better play, but who makes the first mistake.

I will add though that the mobility has made immobile champs a liability to play. You used to be able to get good at a non-meta and still hold your own. Now it is about playing the cheese champs and combos.
