Some Aatrox adjustments I would love to see
With the some of the recent patches, Aatrox lost the last of his soul. Being able to sustain some from behind in lane was great, and part of what made Aatrox, Aatrox. Now, I understand that using abilities on a large minion wave and healing is considerably less risky than stacking auto attacks, but Nasus gets an unholy amount of built in lifesteal and renekton gets away with it. The thing i miss most about the old aatrox was his ability to duel at a low health and , suggesting he doesn't get shut down by CC, he had a chance to deny death. Those two things being said, I feel like there would be some nice adjustments that could be make to the current Aatrox that would bring back some of his old soul without reverting the rework, and maybe it would get some of the people who would pay to play Aatrox again(like me) to stop crying.
Passive adjustment: Similar(adjust) - Aatrox's first auto attack against an enemy champion does 6% + 2% for every 100 ad of the target's total health as bonus physical damage and reduces the effectiveness of healing and shields on that champion by 6 - 15%(based on level) for 2 seconds New(added)- for every ability Aatrox has on cool down, his attacks do an additional 3-15(based on level) damage on hit
What this would do - If aatrox would build as he currently does, the difference would be noticed little at all on the first autoes, and if the aatrox isn't stacking attack speed, the additional up to 60 damage under a very specific circumstance would matter very little in a late game team fight. Besides, for him to get that whole 60 damage he would have to have waited for his ult timer to run out, and use all 3 of his q's. Additionally, when building as he currently does, he has significant cdr so this bonus would be in affect less. As for building attack speed, he would get a boost upon revive and the most he could get out on engage is an additional 30 damage on hit, or 45 average if rageblade happens to be stacked, as he has to wait for his q to either time out or stagger his precious auto attacks to wait for the very slow q animations. Also, when stacking attack speed, the first half will not be nearly as effective.
Q- I think this ability could remain the same without issue, either its the main damage or used as cc in a fight. May need to be nerfed some to compensate for the extra damage added elsewhere
W- still don't think any reasonable adjustments need to be made or could be without changing the ability
E- still a dash, but the passive on it has an adjust: When off cooldown, aatrox heals for a portion of physical damage dealt. This effect is only 10% effective for area of affect damage on minions. When on cooldown, aatrox is granted a boost in attack damage that decays linearly based on the cooldown of the ability(90% of the cooldown of the ability remaining, 90% of the attack granted. at 10%, 10% is granted)
This is meant to blend some of what aatrox was and is. Would benefit both builds on Aatrox., but keeping him from q'ing minions to heal without the risk of auto attacking.
Ult - Aatrox slams his sword into the ground, dealing physical damage around him and slowing those hit by 10%/15%/20% for 1.5 seconds, and then granting it's current benefits. Damage dealt by ult is done before adding additional attack damage.
I just want a diver who is always up for a fight. Tryndamere, yi, xin zhoa, olaf, none of these champs felt quite like that aatrox felt like in a disadvantaged duel.
