New ranking system idea [LP GAIN SHOULD BE FOCUSED MORE ON PERFORMANCE]
We get it, league is a team game and we all acknowledge that but, the way that the ranking system judges on whether you gain or lose LP is completely dependant on whether you win or lose a game. Winning is not everything, in fact, in every ranked game, there will always be a team that loses and there will always be a team that wins, regardless of how evenly skilled the players in the game are. My suggestion is that for riot to create a ranking system THAT JUDGES MOSTLY ON HOW YOU PREFORM, NOT WHETHER YOU WIN OR LOSE. Right of the bat, I can already see keyboard warriors saying that this idea will encourage playing for KDA or some random excuse like that, but all riot needs to do to fix that problem is make the system judge your lp gains on several factors aside from KDA alone. Let's say, for example, you are playing yasuo, and you have the highest damage on your team and enemy team. The first thing the system should do is compare your damage for the time stamp of which the game finished with other yasuos around your elo, comparing your damage at that specific time stamp with their damage at that specific time stamp as well. For example, lets say the average yasuo damage is 20,000 for 20 minute, and you did 25,000 in a 20 minute game. From that information the system can judge that this player deserves to get LP, but how much LP is dependent on a couple other factors. here is a list of few: Turret damage (top lane focused), Towers taken down (top lane focused), solo kills (mostly mid and top focused), champion damage (every champion with the exception of tanks and some supports), least deaths(any champion/role), damage taken (top lane tank focused), kills assisted by allies (mostly jungle, adc and supp focused), total cs farmed (adc, mid, top) and last but not least total objectives taken and total damage done to objectives. All these factors of course will differ depending on the champion, role and time stamp of the game's finish.
You might ask "But wouldn't your idea discourage playing to win?" Well, if you do lose or win a game you do lose a part of the lp THAT YOU GAINED NOT THE LP YOU HAVE FROM BEFORE IF YOU PLAYED BETTER THAN AVERAGE AND CONTRIBUTED THE MOST FOR THE TEAM. for example, lets say I got 30 LP for hard carrying a game with rengar, if i were to lose that game, I would only get half that amount instead. that is a total of 15 LP lost just for losing the game, which is very considerate as winning the games will speed up your climb through the ranks.
But there is one flaw though, is that you can't just only gain LP, as that would break the ranking system. You can still lose lp that you have IF YOU WERE TO PLAY REALLY BADLY. for example, lets say i was playing velkoz and the average damage for the champion in 20 minute is 30,000 for example, and i only did 15,000. and also say I have a really bad KDA on top of having very low cs score and low damage to towers, objectives etc. Regardless of whether I win the game or not i should still lose LP because I contributed very little to the team's success, and I should only deserve LP if my contribution for the team is significant enough for it to be deservable.
What about supports, you may ask? supports will be rewarded LP differently to other roles, as in you get LP depending on how much shielding, healing, warding and assists you might have. Also, some other factors will be considered but you can figure them by yourself at this point.
so what do you guys think about this Idea, do people deserve to lose LP even after hard carrying games because of bad or unlucky teammates, or do those bad teammates deserve to lose LP for contributing nothing to the team's success?
[If yall gonna spam dislike at least comment what you think is wrong. The most childish thing that anyone can do is spam dislike a post with 0 criticism or point. It's really funny because it shows how you don't like something but your too dumb to think of a counter argument so you just dislike it with 0 context. just proves how bad the league community is honestly]
