Why is it that Yi is a better Quinn than Quinn?

MetaCosmos··0 votes·737 views

Yi's ult is on a 75s cooldown AT ALL LVLS (Quinn's is still 80s maxed!!)... last 10s, extends by 4s for every kill (quinn's ult last 20s) Doesn't remove his passive. Give's him the same amount of attack speed as Quinn's ultimate does at lvl 18 (assuming you maxed her W last) Gives him 5% MORE movespeed than Quinn's ultimate, and reduces the cooldowns of all his abilities by 70%! if he gets a kill or assist.

Meanwhile Quinn's ult does Max dmg (assuming the target is missing 100% hp) does 400(+100%ad) in a circle and forces her to lose 80% attack speed and 75% movespeed.

Post stating nothing but facts gets downvoted. Welcome to "discussion"

My main request here is a lower cooldown on Quinn's ult. Quinn's ult's cd 140s at rank 1 while Yi having virtually the same ult gets 75s cooldown at all lvls and reduces the cooldown by 70% if he gets a kill/assist.

And then Quinn can blind people, has a knockback and a huge burst when she reactivates her ult.

You can't just compare the ultimates of 2 champions with eachother without looking at the rest of their kit.

1 thing more:

She is ranged most of the time. That's sort-of a big deal.

That's why I mentioned that she gets to be a bully. TBH though being ranged is a weakness. She can't build bruiser because she's ranged and she can't build carry because she's also melee.

imagine if yi were ranged 0.o

The blind is a pretty big deal but yi being untargetable gets about the same effect. The knockback is miniscule and only really helpful against champs with no mobility. I agree that her burst is huge but she's easily shut down in team fights because neither of her forms are cohesive for a team fight.

and that "huge burst" she loses her passive so that burst dmg is gone and then when she reactivates her ult she does a maximum (at rank 3 ult) of 400 (+100%) ad. Which could break a Janna shield or cancel a heal, if you're lucky.

Well. Wait for Yi Q, then do her r-e(or wait for his Meditate to interrupt it) followed by r-q, 3-4 autos while he can't defend himself, press R. Should be a dead Yi, considering 3-5 items. And some champions are not designed for teamfighting. Quinn is part of those. She's way stronger in splitpushing than in teamfighting.

I'm not talking about Quinn vs Yi. I'm asking that Quinn's ult be buffed to the same lvl as Yi's ult

Or at least given the same cooldown.

Why? Both are still different ults that synergize with a different skillset. If you'd give Quinn a shorter cd, she would give the same problem Riven used to give: Kill your enemy, get back to lane, have your ult already back available. Kill him again, etc etc. You look too short on possible outcomes. Quinn already is, as you said yourself, a toplane bully. A shorter cooldown on her ult would boost that even more. I don't know if it would make her broken. But I don't feel like Quinn needs it.

She needs something. She may be a toplane bully but she offers little to the team outside of lane dominance. And she has very little presence as a late game champ. What I'm suggesting would just take her from her current niche pick status to a potential hyper carry.

She gains range and it's AOE damage and she doesn't fill the same role as Yi. That's all you really need.

(assuming the target is missing 100% hp)

lol what?

lol what?

To get the most out of Quinn's ult her target has to be missing 100% hp.

You know they are dead if they are missing 100% hp right?

No, I'm just retarded. Yes I know, and that's my point as I stated previously. To deal 400 dmg + 100% ad with quinns ult a target has to be dead.

lol what? If you aren't you know....bad you can can totally 1v1 and kill yi as Quinn. Yi is NOT a better Quinn than Quinn is.

Quinn was designed to be a ADC with strong dueling potential, and she is kinda like an anti-adc like urgot is. In a 1v1 Quinn should kill most adcs since she has a blind, knock back and high single target damage. Although Yi can do the same, he doesn't have a blind, his ult doesn't have an execute, and he isn't ranged.

If you're not bad you can totally 1v1 and kill Quinn as Yi. As I said previously this has nothing to do with Quinn Vs Yi but is a comparison of overall power budget provided. You're saying quinn simultaneous isn't melee and has an execute. When you either have to choose to have an execute or be ranged. I never said she wasn't a strong duelist either, I'm saying she deserves the same cooldown on her ult as yi considering that his power budget provides much more in return and quinn loses her passive dmg and range in exchange for a 1-400~ dmg "execute."

quinns ult also has an AOE execute

You say execute like it's comparable to any of the other executes in this game. The reality is you're not killing shit with quinn's ult unless the target is already missing 90% hp.

redniwediS1 votes

it's called an execute. It doesn't matter what any other skill that is called an execute does, if it's an execute it's an execute.

so your saying the champion has to to be dead.........

to get 100% effectiveness out of quinn's execute? yeah, that's exactly what I'm saying.

Quinn = Marksman Valor = Assassin

Unfortunately Valor doesn't get any cooldown reduction or resets, and that makes me sad. I've been rallying for some sort of CDR on Valor because it just makes sense. Valor is squishy, has high move speed, high attack speed, great single target kill potential with huge burst... but once you Valor in and delete someone, you are basically dead. You have no more escapes... everything is on cooldown.

The worst situation to be in is when I'm in Valor form, there are like 2-3 low HP enemies spread out slightly... I vault in on one, clean them up with Q and a few autos... then I start flying toward the next target... except, whoops... my vault is still on cooldown! So then I have to literally fly around in circles and wait for my cooldowns so I can engage the next target.

Master Yi doesn't have this problem. He jumps from target to target like a true assassin.

Valor has to wait in between targets like he's holding his pee waiting in line for the restroom.

My solution:

  • 50% CDR on QWE when killing in Valor form
  • 100% CDR on QWE when killing with Valor's execute

This AT LEAST gives you some chain combo kill potential while remaining in Valor form, and AT LEAST gives Quinn a chance at surviving once she pops the execute in Valor form. (you can blind the enemy and vault away or whatever)

As of now, you pop out of Valor form and Quinn is just there, naked and vulnerable with everything on cooldown timers.
