Can people stop crying about Cass?

She was a lot stronger after the rework and now she's just insane. If you guys want to get her buffed more fine by me but honestly she's in a great spot right now.

Lols you don't get it. Just stop.

It has nothing to do with power. When you actually main a champion and get a very distinct feel/play style from that champ you would get mad if they just flip shit on your champion. I'm a Kat main and I'm extremely worried how hard they will **** her playstyle.

Although, the only thing that bugs me is most the people whining about Cass changes never actually played Cass a lot and that is butt****ing those who do.

I have to admit I didn't play her a lot prior to the rework because she was so skillshot reliant. The shift to twin fang made her easier to play for me and personally the added mechanics made her a lot more fun. I understand the outcry over the identity being changed but with this last patch I went from maxing E first to Maxing Q first. I'd say she's gotten her core back as a poison mage. You basically play a constant game of "keep em poisoned" the only reason I can see people crying now is because they actually have to use twin fang to get the most out of her poison where as before they could just drop q/w and run away. I think they fail to understand how toxic that is in terms of gameplay though.

Everyone just shouted 'she was the poison based champion' or 'she sucks now' after her rework. Cass's playrate before was pretty much half bots. She didn't have a high pickrate so there's no way that half of the boards was a 'Cass main'. I feel sympathy for those Cass mains that do miss their champ (I played a whole lot of Soraka pre-rework and I'm super torn between old and new Raka), a lot of this QQ is just 'Cass sucks now' or 'Oh my god why did you change the poison champ that I didn't play before anyway'.

It's a perfectly legitimate statement to say that she's stronger now and there's no reason to cry over her anymore when most of the people crying didn't even main Cass.

I don't play Cass, but I do play mages, and I can definitely understand why Cass' rework has such an outcry. They shifted her kit focus from her poison-based gameplay to Twin Fang, then they shifted her to a fucking clock.

I don't get the clock reference. I guess because her passive is timed? Tbh if you bully as much as you should be now with the increased poison damage and reduced mana cost you should hit her power spikes quite early. At least the general outline of her kit stayed the same.

Meanwhile sion got gutted and removed and nobody put up this much of a hissy fit.

I feel like people are abusing stashu just because they actually care about their work.

If you land every single Q you cast. And if you always have a target. And if you never run out of mana.

Then you could stack her passive up quickly.

Or maybe if you could convince the entire enemy team to stand still in her W a couple times...

If you keep a target poisoned every single second that your poison is available to do so then you can apply 60 stacks of poison every 60seconds. (alternating Q and W your poison is literally never on cooldown) If you do that then you'll get 60 stacks a minute and have all 500 stacks before 10mins. But god forbid you actually have to work for it though.

Yeah... you do that.

Do you really think anyone is going to be stupid enough to let you permanently poison them?

Never mind that (a) you don't have infinite mana and (b) they don't have infinite health, how the fuck are you going to keep a target permanently poisoned? Are they just standing still?

It's not impossible to land, but if you really expect to keep someone poisoned constantly like that, you're the kind of person who will say Ziggs is in the top 5 for total burst damage because someone could step on every mine in his E.

No, you were implying that it's impossible to get her spikes early and I was simply stating the facts, that you could, potentially, acquire all 500 stacks before 10 mins.

I don't think Ziggs is in, or even close, to top 5 for burst damage. But Cass' E does something like 600 dmg every .5s (full build) not counting the dmg from poison. That's seriously ADC level damage, on a mage, and you're crying because the dmg isn't coming from her poison rather than twin fang.

No, I was implying that it's a lot more difficult than you think. And then you use an utterly hyperbolic situation to try and discredit me.

If her E is dealing 600 damage per hit--without even considering MR--then she's packing over 800 AP. The only reason that's even possible is because of the AP steroid on her passive--which she didn't need before the first rework to be effective.

And yes, I'm going to mention that all of her damage was front-loaded into her "Look at me, I can pretend to be Ryze!" spell. That would be like if Brand was reworked to no longer focus on combos with his passive. That would be like Orianna losing The Ball. It would be like taking damage from Malzahar's E and W, putting it into his Q. She's not my champion, but I can very easily understand why her players don't like having the kit focused away from the very basis of her design.

Yup... well, GL with those BOT games I guess, since that's the only place where you can pull that off.

The Queen Viper3 votes

Nope.

She's still rather weak due to her absurd power curve... the passive is holding her back. Not to mention, she was more viable, better and stronger before the rework. Currently, her rework hasn't paid off yet.

So basically you think she needs to be buffed untill she can blow champions up pre-10mins?

As long as she can compete with other AP mages... currently, she cannot.

Don't worry, they will. Cass just needs a bit of fine tuning and riot has done a good job of fine tuning her without giving into all the qq. The trolls will shut up once they realize no one cares about them.

Do you really think that stacking a poison damage amplifier on her already overloaded E is a good job of fine tuning? Because it looks to me like they adding power to her kit in places it doesn't belong so they can avoid doing what actually needs to be done.

and what actually needs to be done? just remove her E and transfer the power to her q/w so cass players can sit outside of the range of her ult and just spam poison?... that sounds so engaging and offers a ton of counterplay. kappa

It's just like Sona or Soraka's reworks, they just need to learn and get used to it. I loved it when the rework hit and I still love it now. It makes her a lot better overall.

JustMyBassCannon2 votes

The difference being that Sona and Soraka actually got solid reworks. Both of them still have a similar playstyle, but they were revised, had a lot of extraneous tumors removed from their kits so that their power was more manageable and possible to balance.

Cassiopeia has had two reworks of her passive, and both of them involve making her a time bomb instead of a harass-duelist focused on poison.

Sukishoo2 votes

And that's a bad thing? Not everyone needs too be a harassing champion.

JustMyBassCannon2 votes

...but that was what Cass was designed to do.

Not only that, but that was the part that Cass players liked about her.

Why not rework Twin Fang instead?

Giovarco1 votes

Don't downvote the guy please. He's not entirely wrong. Cassiopeia now is stronger than after her rework. I'm carrying each game with after the last patch because now I can trade damage, but just using my E, that has low range, so for this you need brain to do it. Her problem isn't the power, is her identity. Stashu know the problem and all should stop cry about it and colaborate with him.
