Will we ever get another mana restoring champion?

I'm curious because after the removal of Soraka's mana restore, which was honestly one of, if not the most unique ability in the game. But I'm just curious because it was SO nice to have a Soraka as an ADC, just having the ability to relax in a lane that adjusted to how well you were doing, whether it's a passive or aggressive lane. I honestly don't consider it being toxic either, it's the same balance-wise as healing. But I really miss having Old Soraka and I was just curious if any champions were in the works for being the new old Soraka. Soraka HAIL THE GOAT

It would be nice to have a champion with that ability again, however that champion probably should not also have a heal, I think the combo of heal plus mana granting was a little toxic

I have to say that mana restoring will only be limited to self restoration through abilities like Malzahar's E. If Riot were to introduce a mechanic that restored mana on someone's kit, it'd probably be more of a minor mana restoration over time. Mana is meant to gate people, especially early game. Giving someone the ability to give someone else an instant chunk of mana would go against that gate, promoting a passive/non-interactive early game, while making that part of their kit near useless late game.

buffingsummoner 13 (long CD) would be eye opening. Well, to me at least lol.

If they tacked on the old mana restore to equinox I'd love that. Like if an ally stepped on it it would restore a bit of mana while silencing opponents. Since equinox takes a bit of mana to give mana, it couldnt be abused very well in lane, either.

The mana restoration would make Soraka more viable and also have better match ups, right now you can literally give her any team and she will be able to fulfill her role completely just by taping down her W key and hitting R in team fights

I like how she's a powerful healer but that's all she is. If you remove her passive, Q, and E then she would still be the same thing. It's kind of dumb to say that she should be able to do more than her primary role but aside from healing she isn't anything.

Equinox now restores x/x/x/x/x mana per 0.5 second to allies who stand in it.

DO YOU MAKE A CHOICE TO RESTORE ALLY'S MANA... OR TO SILENCE AND SNARE THE ENEMIES?!

The problem is that the only Champions who really want it are those who tend to be mana gated early game. And those who are, tend to have mana issues for a reason. So the more useful of an ability it is, the more broken it becomes.

Seeing as every other new champ is resourceless, I doubt it.

I enjoyed the old Soraka playstyle. It encouraged a truly passive lane where my adc could farm to power, rather than diving for kills.

I think there needs to be a mana-restore-on-ally ITEM. Maybe an active given to Ardent Censer or something like that.

This way it isn't lane-abusive, while giving your support a means of helping your team's Swain with his mana burning issues.

There was an item that was on the PBE for a very short amount of time that had an ability called "Mana Burst". If I recall correctly, Mana Burst restored mana to allies and dealt damage based on how much mana the user had. Too bad they never did anything with it, it looked like a really cool AP support item.

Uniqueness isn't inherently good. Old Soraka's mana restore wasn't unique, it was just bullshit. She just sits in bot lane and she AND her carry both get infinite sustain. Was it something anyone else had? No. Were there very good reasons for that? Yes.

Mana restoring yourself as an ability should never be a thing because it just defeats the entire point of mana.

Mana restoring other people is tricky to have in the game since A. it'll have to scale off your mana to cast and B. it's completely useless for manaless champions.
