@Riot - Before Making Any Changes to Singed, Please Have SOME Dialogue W/ Actual Mains

To preface this post, I have been a Singed main for 4 seasons now, and I'm by no means the best or most knowledgeable Singed player, but having reached Diamond twice with the champion, I feel that I have a pretty competent grasp of him at the very least. I've played Singed through just about every meta in the last 4 seasons, and there are many more like myself, especially on r/SingedMains and in the Singed Mains discord.

The last time Singed received large changes - on the PBE before his rework - ManWolfAxeBoss was quite active on the SingedMains subreddit, and it felt great that there was civil and open dialogue between Riot and dedicated Singed mains. The first batch of changes that went through the PBE were a step in the wrong direction, and ManWolfAxeBoss, credit where credit is due, communicated this feedback to the team handling the gameplay update, and the final changes delivered were a lot more reflective of an update desperately needed by the champion and pleasing to Singed mains because we would no longer get flamed in champion select by our own teams for locking Singed.

It came to my attention on Hashinshin's stream today that Hash had a dialogue with Riot Blastoise in which Blastoise had said "we're probably nerfing singed lol / NOT BECAUSE OF YOU THOUGH / unclear, but I know one of the designers was talking about it."

Having had a constructive & civil dialogue about how to reasonably change Singed in the past, would it not be prudent to have an open discussion with Singed Mains once again about what exactly is making Singed strong and how to change him in a way that is fair to players that have mastered the champion but reduces the "lmao noskill broken champ" stigma that a lot of players are peddling at the moment?

I don't see how more dialogue can be a bad thing, and my honest fear (although I haven't seen the planned changes) is that Singed will get Sejuani'd/Sion'd. For those reading unfamiliar with what I'm referring to, back in Season 4, Cinderhulk was introduced and it created some pretty interesting balance issues with champions that had health scalings in their kits. Sejuani and Sion were almost immediately nerfed, but then a couple of patches later, Cinderhulk (the real culprit) had its health bonus nerfed. Sejuani in particular was left in a pretty awful spot until her rework due to the wombo-combo of nerfs to an item she HAD to build + her base kit. To my approximation, Singed is too strong due to certain balancing changes (certain runes & items are too strong with his kit currently) and all of his counters are out of meta at the current moment, leaving only skill matchups/winning matchups.

In summation, I can only speak for myself, but it's safe to say that those of us over at r/SingedMains/the Discord would love to engage in a dialogue about how to fairly address singed's "braindead op" stigma in his currently strong state while not harming those that have put in the time to master him. It's worked well in the past and I don't see why it can't work again.

Thank you for your time.

Don't worry.. they'll screw up singed as bad as they screwed up the game in general lately. Prepare to be gutted boy!

Didn't they have a discussion with Shaco mains before changing him post duskblade nerf and he ended up with like a 56% win rate?

you know they won't do that. they'll just do whatever the most-popular-person-to-tell-them-to-kill-themselves says
