is a pretty versatile champion both as a support and a mid laner. She can play both roles really well and if you can land you skill shots she can make a lot of good plays.
I am in Gold I, but I am not a midlaner. I am a top laner main and support secondary. If I have to play mid in a ranked game I either pick
or
. I have a smurf account in low Gold and I will play mid more often on that account. When I get mid I typically play
on that account, max pool, and press the tower. Most midlaners then have to stay in lane or I take the tower.
I am ungankable because of my black shield so I can overextend. It is amazing because people attempt to gank me all the time and fail a lot (I max black shield after pool). I take
too, to keep returning to lane quicker and pressuring the tower.
I am pretty sure the strategy annoys the mid lane mains a lot and I have won games just simply by putting A LOT of pressure mid.
The problem is that against really good players that main mid (lower plat) this is not as effective. I actually stopped playing
support simply because I am not good at landing bindings against upper elo players. I now play
or
when I support in ranked.
Morgana has some really good damage, but her damage does drop off the longer the game goes on and is dependent on her skill shots and her black shield to carry her team to victory.
I don't know what your rank is, but she is completely viable mid if you are good at landing your skillshot.
She is simple, safe, and has some burst. She cannot carry as easily, but is very reliable.
Everyone who tells you she is only viable as a support do not play a lot of mid
that are good and she is a pretty low pick rate compared to other midlaners. You can play her (and win) pretty easily up until upper Gold.
