Some reasonable buffs for Ivern... (Former Ivern main/Level 7 Ivern)

As the title says...

Ivern is currently sitting at a 50%-52% win rate: http://na.op.gg/champion/ivern/statistics/jungle https://champion.gg/champion/Ivern/Jungle?league=

As a former Ivern main, it is sad to see that he is not the greatest junglers right now and could use some small buffs to be made a more viable champion.

Passive: Friend of the Forest

Health costs removed

Base mana costs increased from 148 to 152

By removing the health costs will allow Ivern some survivability in the jungle so he can't be killed as easily by a counter-jungle or by the jungler in their own jungle; so the health costs are removed, a small nerf by raising the base mana costs to make up for it.

W: Brushmaker

New Effect Allied champions that walk through the brush gain 30% movement speed all ranks (can only occur once per brush); enemy champions are slowed by 20% for 3 seconds all ranks

Patch 7.8 reverted; Ivern can now hide epic monsters

By giving Ivern's brush some other purpose other than blocking vision and scouting, Brushmaker should allow his allies to pass through it with a movement buff and stop enemy champions from chasing. Reverting Patch 7.8 will also help Ivern secure objectives much more discreetly.

If he's at a 50-52% winrate doesn't that mean he doesn't need buffs?

depends on his playrate. If theres 1 player in the world with a positive winrate, that doesn't mean what he's playing is good.

I don't look forward to seeing ivern, he's such an anti-fun champ that forces so much jungle fiestas to the point where his only counterplay is having your team babysit a side of the map.

Fuck even in games I win against Ivern, I really don't want to be there.

but in fairness, he does need help but I don't think the suggestions are good at all, hiding objectives was toxic and giving him an MS buff with his bushes just makes some stuff borderline impossible to deal with (kai'sa + ivern in bushes anybody?).

The health cost is the one thing that actually gives him risk in freely taking your shit, it shouldn't be removed, but I can see the amount being dropped.

Buff Ivern's MS and he's instantly meta.

He has a .5% playrate he needs maybe say a e shield buffs>

I disagree because these changes make it much less risky to counter-jungle the enemy jungler. R should have a better move and attack speed. Hiding epic monsters is annoying so instead increase the range and damage on his W passive to help him duel a little better.

(Please make it so that Ivern gets full XP from Krugs)

Or.

We could just bring back Tracker's Knife and revert the Heal and Shield power nerfs on Support items.

That should put him right back into the meta.

From another Ivern player - These buffs aren't reasonable at all lol. Not sure if this is some kind of satire tbh. First of all, Ivern is in a okay spot, and really doesn't need too much of a buff, especially not a big one like the ones you suggest. Also I don't think these buffs really are that great at all.

Removing health cost for jungling is completely unfair, every other jungler in the game sacrifices hp to take camps, and so should Ivern. I can see the argument for reducing hp cost, but I usually manage to get around the jungle while remaining healthy. Ivern players better than me even goes talisman + 1 pot + control ward early game, just because they don't feel they need the sustain early.

The brushmaker changes are also bad. Ivern is already good at stopping enemies from chasing, and the way his brushes could hide epic monsters was too frustrating, and completely removed the chance for baron steals (which is not a good thing, Baron steals are exciting and fun part of league.)
