I've noticed a ton of trouble with the new talon as zed in lane. He out damages zed at standard health so I was wondering just how I can beat him. I've considered going phage>BC first item (I normally go cutlass first). Or cutlas phage maybe? I need a viable tanky build against him to either survive his burst or be able to kill him
Playing as Talon versus zeds there's a pattern I've noticed. I've been able to outplay zeds who simply even try to last hit. It let's me throw in Rake and instantly follow up with Noxian Diplomacy. All I need to do then is auto and get both the TLD and Passive proc. This is at level 2. All I'd need is ignite and hey presto First Blood.
The best way to stay alive is to just play safe. Wait for the Talon to make mistakes, and abuse the time when his Rake is on cooldown (9 seconds after used) try and draw out the rake before committing to anything, or ask your jungler to help if they're nearby. Talon also doesn't need to use his E during the early, so it frees up a slot for level 3/4 into his Q or W, so it gives him more damage potential very early.
Play safe. Use your shadows to last hit / farm until you're at a level at which you can beat Talon. Roam if you need to.
You legit own Talon as long as u don't let him proc his passive. The lane match up isn't much different from before.
If the Zed is good, he should have the advantage.
In general tho, NEW Talon is kind of an anti-assassin, as he does most damage when his enemy jumps on him so he doesn't gave to give up damage getting on top of them.
Bait out his W, it has a static CD.
LOL its funny how no one complains about talon vs yasuo. In the new update, talon really destroys zed. As a zed main, i have always had difficulties with talon, but eventually i destroyed them once hitting level 6. I am suprised how nobody talks about talon destroying yasuo. Yasuo gets more destroyed than zed against the new talon. Zed can atleast farm w/ q or w + e + q shadow harass from a distance out of raking range, but yasuo has to come close to cs. Don't tell me yasuo can just windwall. Windwall takes 3 times the time it takes rake and noxian diplomacy to finish it's cooldown.
