IVERN passive update!

Ivern passive is very broken on start and very useless in role of support, my idea of functional passive for ivern:

  • Current passive: 2.5 seconds channeling than waiting 40 - 6 sec to grow + must click to free monsters (without summoner 11 this is useless because no one will wait 40 sec as non jungler and late game 6 sec when there is team fight every sec, and as jungler with smite he gets first monster after only 2.5 sec and next 15 sec latter)

  • New passive: jungling part - 3 sec channeling than after 30 sec auto free monsters without clicking on them, where summoner 11 can be used to remove 20 sec from waiting support part - ivern have 50% larger vision field and can detect movement in bushes after 3 sec of standing in place and not attacking (because he is very tall character and he has that animation of looking around, also useful in jungling)

That change + new option to passive will make Ivern more balanced and useful as supp

This will never be on so many levels.

#1 If groves auto clear, he would just leave them and now worry about them.

#2 What if during any fight early or late game, he gained a whole level of experience and a blue buff right in the middle of the fight. That would be busted.

#3 His clear will only allow counter jg 30 or so seconds after he put the grove. That would remove his only weakness in the jg.

#4 If his groves auto cleared, he would never have to waste smite in his own jg and would be a counter jg MONSTER.

#5 The vision range he would get would be insanely overpowered and unbalanced. He would be able to see anything coming his way and he would be busted as a support.

If you wanted to tune his power down, this was no way to do it. His passive and abilities are fine, it's just a matter of balancing him with the meta.

(Holy fuck I didn't know the hashtags would make my text massive. Well, I guess it stands out)

  1. thats the point
  2. nothing big (also buffs are getting nerfed soon), anyway that happens when he kills enemy jungler with buffs during fight as well
  3. lets say counting will freeze if enemy or friend attacks that camp, that would be ok and will prevent stealing from jungler if playing as supp.
  4. yea, but 30 sec is much time to wait and he loses hp and mana when doing that channeling . Currently he can steal enemy buff in 2.5 sec at lvl1, is that better?
  5. 50% is very little... check in game his current vision range than add half of its radius more (and only when standing still)

Ofc this is just my idea, i think his passive need change soon. I get flamed hard when i pick summoner 11 for support ivern...

Sorry, but the reasons I just listed would make him the most OP jg in the game. These are not the best ideas while keeping the full scheme of the game and the balance of it in mind.

Honestly, this is an interesting idea, but it has no hold in the actual balance of the game.

His passive makes him set apart from every other champ in the game due to his passive nature. He is insanely good a Counter JG but is insanely susceptible to Counter jg.

He was meant to be a Supportive Jungler not a Jungling Support. He was made to be a utility tank jg that supports his team when he comes in for ganks. He is not meant to be a support who jungles a bit in his freetime. Smite support Ivern does work, but he was not really intended for that, it just worked out.

I don't know what you are talking about, saying the passive is useless as a Supp. The dropped buffs? Extra damage for everything earlyish. Late game, it is fast enough I can steal enemy camps or harass them until it is done. If I steal a camp then another buff is up too. The passive is fine for support. Maybe it could be cleaner, but it works well as is; I like using the CoC with him in supp, Thunderlords also works, but eh preference.
