Is it the champion that is over powered or is it the items and runes.
The truth behind people hating champions is typically due to the champion feeling like no matter how many times you kill them, out cs them, or assert dominance, they still shatter you. Well this is largely due to the fact that the champions usually have some time of insane itemization advantage. It's rarely due to them just having to high bases, unfair damage amp, or get out of jail free cards like
. Not saying fizz is overpowered, just more of an aggravation. What I mean to say is champions like
and
are 2 of the most hated champions in the game. Why is that? Sure zed is a safe lane assassin but is being safe really a problem for any champion. After all he will have to go melee to get a kill and yasuo is deep in the fight most of the time. So why are they so hated? Well they tend to manage to somehow always do damage even when behind. Thats simply because they have better itemization. Its not that these champs are over powered rather
items are. Yasuo feel so hard to kill. Why is that? its because he has an item that was meant to help an adc survive like
which compliments his shield passive which he somewhat needs as a melee carry. To top that off the
changes don't benefit many carries as much as it does 2 item max crit man. Conquer and electrocute are arguably stronger than keystones in other trees. Assassin make better use of electrocute and conquer is a beast on Yasuo. The skill ceiling of these champs are high but with
on either it lowers the skill floor. The true hatred for champions in league is their ability to make you feel like you are walking on thin ice at all times. Any champion can do this, but when it comes to champions considered "broken" they just have an easier time of doing it. I can list off more champions but these were the two I thought of off the top. Any champion in the right hand can feel oppressive but learning how to manage these champions can be challenging for anyone. Even I still occasionally get rolled by an
with conquer, but if anyone remembers league of cinder
1v5ing you'd know it can be worse. The only solution is to try and adapt or ban what you mentally can't handle. Try to remember that these champions have their place and winning a lane doesn't equal winning a game. As a mage surviving typically means more.
