With all the flaming Riot Games gets, me being one of those people at times, I'd like to say good job to riot on the new runes. I'm sure we will find a standard of play on champions, but for now I see so much versatility and creativity in these rune set ups. Sure, some of the lesser runes seem a bit weak but the combinations feel nice. I legitimately think its a good start.
A lot of meaningful choices, definitely some tuning needs to be done
Have you played the game at all? Do you realize that this system punishes progression, and forces people to drop money in the game to get champions, when we already drop money to buy skins? I don't mind dropping money into this game however I don't want to be forced into doing it.
I'm still unsure how I feel about the changes. I'm sure that once Riot balances out the problems, rune setups will have a meta. What I'm upset with is that there's no more fine tuning stats in champ select to suit your matchup. I can't choose start off with additional armor runes for an AD matchup mid, or choosing ap runes over mr for an aggressive support lane. Now I have to wait several minutes until I back to buy items that better suit the matchup.
