Why lose like 40 lp when losing promos

if you lose 2 in a row at 20 each, its 40. A loss in promos subtracts whatever your normal loss in from 100LP, so if you 1-2, yeah, you'd be -20, but 0-2 would be -40

I think it is based on your performance in promos. Say you go 0-2 in promos, if you had lost those 2 games you would have lost 30-40 love so it puts you at around 60 (100-40=60). Often though I find myself winning 1 game back to promos, and I think this is when you go 1-2 . Since your net loss is 1, and you would have lost say 15-20 lp, it puts you at around 80 (100-20=80).
