Had to play mid against a fizz one game. Im new to the game so im only in normal mode pvp (level 14), and fizz just jumped over all my combos and and just could consistently all in me. I ended up getting flamed by my bot lane cause I fed and when i said fizz is just countering me they said fizz is easy to play against. Is fizz a counter to lux?
He has the advantage, but once you know the matchup really well, it can go either way.
In short, yes, he's a counter. Not to say he isn't beatable, but if the fizz knows what he's doing, then GL.
If Fizz plays the matchup correctly, he should win. All you have to do is use playful to dodge the stun, and there's nothing stopping him killing Lux. Fizz counters most AP champs with skillshot cc, since he can dodge any attempts to cc him.
Yeah probably. Though there are mages who counter Fizz in turn, like Vladimir (since more or less all of Vlad's damage is point-click, and Vlad can use his W to dodge a lot of Fizz's burst)
In an even skilled match up fizz has the advantage that doesn't mean you can use that as an exuse for feeding just that he is more likely to win lane against lux

Fizzes who get caught in the q tend to get assblasted, and Lux has the advantage of early harass. What is fizz going to do through levels 1-3?
A good Lux can go even with a Fizz but Lux's Q is quite easy to dodge if the enemy knows what they're doing

Just clear the waves back off and push him in. You win as lux by not giving him kills and maintaining lane priority. He gets worse as the game progresses, you only get better
