Aatrox.

Personally, I feel as if people are playing this champion wrong. Yes, I do believe he needs quite a few changes, if not a lot, but, but he's not as bad as everyone makes him out to be. There's hardly any match up, even Teemo, that I lose with him with. Note, I use this account to post on, I'm currently at plat 2, being an Aatrox enthusiast.

This is how I play him, which seems to be working out for me: Get w level one, then max e. People make the mistake on maxing w, when it hardly offers any scaling. Always use blood price when you're above 50%, using blood thirst when you're above 50% is just wasting precious poke and easy csing.

I normally run thunderlords, but if you're against a fighter, say Fiora, get warlords. Thunderlords lets you get early kills fairly easily. I also run ignite for towerdiving for free, due to his passive as well. You want to auto minions twice, have blood price on, then e, q auto. If you have too, ignite for the secure, but most likely, you wont need it.

In lane, you just keep e'ing through the minion wave. It'll come to the point where you'll be able to waveclear fairly easily if you're having a rough time. After laning phase is over, you want to just sit top, unless it's urgent. Aatrox can clear waves pretty quick with blood price/hydra and his e. If your lane opponent and jungle come top, you SHOULD be able to 1v2, if done properly. Try to hit them both with your ult, for it's an extra 40% attackspeed.

Another thing i've noticed is the fact that people go tank Aatrox. The only "tank" item you should get is mallot if they're incredibly mobile. I sometimes do this for cheesing my lane opponent, but I usually just get bork, then i'm good to go. You CAN build tank aatrox, but, it's just not as efficient as going vampiric. I've 1v5ed in multiple occasions playing vampric aatrox, you just have to win lane, if not, yeah, can be a little lack luster, but i'm pretty sure that goes for everyone.

Again, going to my first statement, yeah, he needs a few tweaks here and there, like giving him a % tenacity when he uses his ult, give him more base attack speed, but other then that, I don't see a problem with him. Let me guys know what you think RIOT can do to help the Darkin Blade, but it probably wont be a while due to Warwick getting his changes first, whenever that may be.

Can't believe there's only 1 comment. I think this was a good post. I'm a die hard Tryndamere main, but I've started playing Aatrox jungle and having a blast. Aatrox is so rewarding to pull off. Very under estimated. Everyone assumes he's garbage but he isn't.
