I'm afraid to play ranked games
I feel like it's a lottery. I have little to no impact if I play good, worst players have most impact. And it feels bad to get demoted, I used to be gold in S2 then quit game till now.

The majority of players are in Silver. The skill gap that used to exist back then in S2 isn't there anymore because even the worst of veteran players have finally put their time in, and the game doesn't attract as many new players as it used to. The skill bar has been raised quite a bit. --- I float around in Silver. Just like 70% of the NA population does.
Sure, you may get a new player or a troll here any there, but that's just the luck of the draw. Silvers still get paired with Bronze. 3 out of 5 players on a team may know what they're doing after X amount of years, but it only takes that 1 or 2 to feed and throw a game. You'll get used to it.
