He's not fun to play against.

Yasuo isn't really that bad unless your whole team clumps together and somehow misses all their cc while not exhausing him or building any armor, hp, or heal reduction.

But for some reason everyone lets him dash through them and lets that slow ass tornado hit them and they get ulted...

And then he just q's and heals because noone brought mortal reminder

Yeah i've seen "Good" yasuos (Im low elo, so that's sort of an oxy moron for me) but theres always a way to play around him

Riot confirmed a rework a while ago.

His kit theme and ideas are extremely cool and great, but like you said, he got nerfed and it hurt him badly. Even Riot understands that his gameplay is toxic and hard to balance. Honestly there are only two things that frustrate me with him: the length he keeps his tornado till he uses it, and his windwall. It's just frustrating. Yeah, I'm not Plat or above. I'm not going to argue that Riot should balance things around the 95% of players; that'd be stupid. It's just the toxic elements need to be reworked.

Can I get a source link? Curiosity really.

They confirmed nothing, the nerf he got was all they have planned for him atm to public knowledge

Yeah that is what I thought.

Kinda funny how I was ignored by OP though.

[older post] I'm going to continue searching for the exact quote, but it was on their boards. This is a link to one of their discussions unrelated to them discussing the eventual rework. Gimme some time. Unless I'm wrong, but I'm quite confident they stated it. http://nexus.leagueoflegends.com/2016/12/ask-riot-yasuos-last-breath/

Honestly it's going to take longer than I desire to find it. Doesn't matter to me whether you believe it or not, however, if you're interested... Paraphrasing what I read on their Nexus posts,

"Yasuo is a difficult champion to balance. He was shipped out with very strong themes. His gameplay is creative and very fun to play as, but playing against him can feel much less fun. We want to eventually work him into something that's still fun to play as, but also fun to play against."

Something like that. They mentioned that his q and e abilities would remain the same, but he'd eventually be given different elements to his gameplay that feel less 'toxic'.

After doing a Google search that led to a YouTube video that had a url to a specific Tumblr thingy by Ghostcrawler this is what I found:

The Cave of 10,000 Crabs Ghostcrawler Tumblr

“It feels like there’s a philosophy at Riot that the fun of someone playing a champion is more important than the fun of someone playing against them. We see a lot of champions people hate playing against untouched, but champions who aren’t as appealing to play as they could be get prioritised for reworks - even though both are technically “balanced”. Surely a champion who isn’t fun to play against is negatively affecting more players than one who merely isn’t as fun to play as they could be?”

We definitely work on gameplay problems in champs that are really frustrating to play against. LeBlanc and Katerina are great examples here. It’s not acceptable to have fun at the expense of everyone else in the game. Often times those champions don’t need full reworks though. Poppy needed a full rework. She was just a mess. Kat needed some gameplay changes, and she got them, and the player response so far has been pretty good. There are champs that we are still trying to solve, say Yasuo and Kallista and Yi. We talk about them all of the time. I don’t know if they need a rework as much as some surgical pruning. It still feels more like the Kat level of update than the Poppy level though. However having said that, I’m not sure I’d agree with the high-level mission of The fun of playing against a champion is more important than the fun of playing that champion.” I worry using that as a razor leads you towards a really milktoast design where champions are innocuous and nobody really has sharp edges or big moments. It’s hard for example for champions with lame abilities to ever be that frustrating. Maybe the sweet spot is to accept that sometimes it’s going to be frustrating going against an enemy champion (consider just about any champion might have out-leveled you, or has an ult on cooldown, or just landed a lucky skill shot), but we should make sure those moments don’t happen too often or impact your chance of winning too much.

This is the closest to a mention of a "rework", but it doesn't say anything was confirmed.

I'm more referring to in-lane. Katarina and Janna? Why are they in the list. Enlighten me. Yasuo can windwall her q and dash away..? Yes, champs like Darius and Riven do well against him. I just personally don't like the champ.

Yas can even windwall kat's W lol

this statement contradicts itself

I can do very well against Yasuo.

A few hours ago, I've brought Yasuo down as Karthus.

He's pretty fun to play against if you are a slightly competent player.

And he certainly isn't fun when he is on your team and goes 0/11.
