Akali requires more map awareness to capitalize on her assassination potential, and more caution in lane due to her relatively squishy melee status.

Draven requires more micro management and positioning, as after the lane phase he has less "get out of jail" than Akali, and has to predict multiple things to fully apply his damage.

Overall, I lean towards Draven, as most of the "difficulty" in playing akali can be applied to playing draven and he has several personal demands that require a more specific learning curve than the usual, "should I fight now?"

This is like comparing an apple to a tire. Overall I would say that Draven requires more skill because he has to catch his axes and it is very difficult to do in a team fight, but their kits have absolutely nothing in common, and the way you play them has absolutely nothing in common. I mean one is ranged and the other is melee.

If you get behind on both of them they do nothing (akali has a slightly easier time coming back), and if you get ahead you can solo carry.

Draven requires far more skill than Akali.

Draven requires more mechanical skill by far. Akali definitely requires a TEENSY bit of cunning to survive teamfights, but it all boils down to Q R R R with an E somewhere in between.

They have their own different skills, I think. Draven is more mechanically complex and needs to worry about positioning. Akali needs to watch her small energy pool, dashes stacks, and outplay people with W (until they get pink wards, that is).

I dont think anyone will ever know, some say Akali still has never been played to this day...
