Ranked Elo Decay

Okay so I am leaving for about 6-9 months and wont be able to play league during that time. Since there will be a soft reset of Elo for next season, if I dont do Promos will I stll decay? (I am in Plat currently)

MMR doesn't decay, only LP (and Rank), so since it's resetting anyway you won't even be affected if you don't do your placements.
