Level up should feel more rewarding as you get more champions, higher level, more mastery points, so, I am suggesting you guys to update your level up mechanics, taking from some of those ideas:

  • Champions that you own will not drop from level up chests, instead, as you hit level 5 mastery, you'll start earning fragments for that champion at every 5.000 Mastery Points or every S-, S and S+. They are not disenchantable, but you can craft them to unlock mastery level, up to 10. At level mastery 10 you'll unlock the option to earn with him BE.

  • Level up chests will only drop champions you do not have. When you start earning more and more champions, your level up chest will start containing more BE value. Once you unlocked all the champions, your level up chest will give you a flat amount of BE depending on what level milestone you've hit, and you'll start earning a small flat amount of OE. Milestone chests will also contain a full key.

  • Once your champion hits the 500.000 mark for mastery points, he will stop earning mastery points. But instead, he will start gaining points for unlocking reward milestones, that you can get by playing any champion who hit the mark, with rewards as Master of Champions Ward, Icon, and at the end, you'll earn the Grand Champion Recall.

  • As for the S-, S and S+ chests you could only unlock once on each champion per season, OTPs, you can rejoice, you'll start earning a chest everytime you earn an S-, S and S+. But, for us to do so, we will have to lower the total number of chests you can earn.

  • To reward diversity in playing other champions, we will start giving XP multipliers each time you picked another champion that lead to a win, up to a total of 5x multiplier. Also, if you managed to win and to also get A+ and your champion is not mastery level 5, you'll earn a chest, if it's available to earn.

  • Honor level will now be raised to level 6, and each level will only have two checkpoints. Each checkpoint will now reward you with a full key. At leveling up the honor you'll be rewarded automatically with the ward of that level and a random emote. if you already have the ward or the emote, you'll instead get the OE value. Once you hit level 6, you will no longer have checkpoints, but you'll get the chance at the end of the season to get a random legendary skin.

Now, I'm open to everything, but those are just ideas, I personally find them to fix a lot of problems, getting new people to feel a great sense of achievement, old players to also feel rewarded.

Go ahead, tell me what you like, what you didn't like, and why.

well currently leveling is tied to playing the game in general which seems appropriate tbh. Mastery system could use a little work because any true master of a champion generall can go from lvl 5 to 7 in 5 matches once they hit 5 (5 S games in norms isnt hard for any real OTP) to get lvl 7. so feels it can b a tad short sometimes
