Zilean Mains HELP

support main thinking of getting zil for carrying solo q.

Need some help:

Pros and Cons? Counters? How's laning? How's teamfighting? Early, mid or late game?

Zilean is best as a mid laner with a lot of poke. Your early levels (1-5) are basically going to be you poking whenever and trying not to engage because you have 0 ap and your Q does fuck all the first couple levels as its base damage raises increasingly. After you get your ult, you should be able to win most trades as champion usually can not kill you twice and your QWQ and E will keep them from running away. I try to aim behind the champion with my QWQ so when they tery to run, they get screwed. Mid game and Late game is where he really shines. Just have a seraphs and 45% cd reduction, and holy shit you can not be killed as you basically have a kayle ult that heals damage as you just give anyone an Aatrox passive. Your E, with its 99% slow or speed buff will make your jungler love you if he ganks as he comes in faster than Rammus (or it is a Rammus with basically a homeguard on him). CS is easy to get as most QWQ's wil kill the wave and you can even do it from a mile away by using your minions as ISIS suicide bombers. In the late game, you are going to be targeted so for a defensive Item, I like to go cheeky and get a Guardians angel so you can die TWICE and still not give a fuck. Your QWQ is a Leona ult with a wider radius and you can pop that off 3 times in a team fight depending. With the best disengage in my opinion in the game except for arguably Ahri, you can just nope the fuck out of there while leaving them a nice Q as a present. Personally, my favorite thing to do in the game is QWQ in a bush while someone is chasing me and then they die from my 1800 damage teemo shroom with a stun. Zilean's weaknesses would be bursty champions but with good reaction, I feel like those could not be that bad. With Zed or Yi, just QWQ yourself and with ranged, it should be able to be seen a mile away so you can nopE the hell out of there. For builds, I like to go Seraphs, Morel, Rabadon's Fedora, and Banner, depending I may get zhonyas, abyssal, or liandry's with sorcerer boots as I have 10% CD reduction in runes already.

Tbh my zilean mid is the most fun thing I've ever played, my first real main, and I can't get enough of doing it. It helps that I do quite well with him at the same time. Builds runes masteries use champion.gg or feel free to look @ my match history
