Why Yasuo's W blocks Nami's Ult?

I mean seriously, why does a wall of wind stop a tidal wave?

Nami's ult is a projectile. Yasuo's W blocks projectiles. Trying to apply logic to video games gets you nowhere.

I get that applying logic gets nowhere, but I really don't get why Nami's ult is a projectile type anyways.

Because it's all Riot's engine supports.
